Are these things actually any good? I always assumed it's some weak ass pussy shit if it wasn't made in a poorly sanitized bathtub in a cornfield somewhere.

P.S. I wasn't actually the one to create the sinkhole of despair on that shale deposit, I just made it worse

Whelp, ole lanny's shit base worked great for one night. Then robert e. jihadi came and tore up the tracks again. RIP shitbase, you served me well that one time. Shout out to my homie soy for distracting the zombs so I could cowardly make a run for the bikes, then coming back after dying to support

In other news, strip mining has been found to have negative effects on the environment:

I asked for help and thankfully this dude was able to lend a hand:

I was just talking about this the other day.

It really is a privilege. Gotta put the classic marxist spin on it and say the police force a privilege the serves the capital holding and economically useful classes, but close enough. Fuck cops and all, but if I break the law I get a court date and a fine which sucks but like, so what? If darkies do it, it's way more likely to be jail time or if not, the punitive action is way more likely to really fuck their shit up, often for the exact same crimes. Being a milktoast honky has its perks.

When I was 13 I lived next to a vacant house (I think they were selling it or something, it wasn't abandoned or anything), me and some friends shot out a window with a bb gun and went in to check the place out. I got a stern talking to by a cop and had to pay to replace the window which I could do because I had a part time job. Different person, place, and economic status and that'd be a breaking and entering charge that I'd probably never have known to get sealed, then I'd be fucked getting into college or a job. Death to pigs and all, but that shit worked for me. And that's probably how it _should_ work, I ended up being a functioning member of society and there's really no need to fuck someone's life up because of some dumb teenage shit. But it only looks like "dumb teenage shit" when you're a relatively clean cut white kid from a middle class family that understands how to smooth things over with the ole' criminal justice system. No one looked at me and thought "future professional burglar" lol.

So yeah, thanks cops. Y'all are dumb blood thirsty assholes, but at least it's not directed at me

4real tho, Mikey, you’re pretty likable. The most annoying thing about you is the constant self hate which all things considered is pretty inoffensive. And it cuts the opposite direction from over inflated ego or a superiority complex which is most people’s, and especially most moderators’, problem.

It’s kinda like cops. You gotta be a special kinda asshole to want to be a cop. So if you’re a cop and not a raging asshole you’re already well ahead of the curve. Same for mods.

Sure, I turned the difficulty up, set more frequent BM, etc. idk how it’ll respond to changing settings in the middle of a game so if it’s wonked let me know

If you’re talking about the hole in the ground in front of the garage, I swear to God it was the dogs. I spawned and two of them rushed me, so I jumped on top of the delivery truck, they started attacking it, and I swear the damn thing exploded in like 2 hits.

There's a small cottage industry of youtube videos explaining how DOOM Eternal did that really well, but the noclip one is probably the canonical case, it's pretty interesting to see all the decisions that go into coersing you as the player into not being an absolute pussy

I think a _lot_ of the gaming population are when it comes down to it. I am too. If something's optimal but horribly unfun I will end up doing it over and over again without even thinking about it. I saw an interesting interview with one of the designers for XCOM and I think the quote was "players will do their best to optimize all the fun out of your game", in that case referring to players playing uber conservatively and slowly because it really was optimal. In 2 they introduced time limits to stop that and a lot of people hated it, I did at first, but after I got used to it I realized the game was way more fun because it forces you to take calculated risks, get some of your guys ganked, and engage more seriously with injury/training/backup/recruiting systems. Ultimately it does kinda fall on the game dev to make the best gameplan not be a tedious slog

I have a gamecube but literally the only game for it is melee from back before slippi was a thing.

Never owned an N64 but I played the ever living shit out of the big titles (and some of the small shit ones too) on an emulator.

IDK, I get plenty nostalgic for games I enjoyed in the past, but I've never had any particular nostalgia around the hardware. Like the OG N64 controllers kinda sucked, the sound of a PS1's disk drive is grating, etc. I'm just glad there are active emulation projects so we can enjoy actual games into the future, not the implementation details.

Ehhh, you need something to reel in looting. Like if you took a beth game and said you have infinite inventory the optimal strategy is to loot literally everything ever. Then you have to either balance for the most tedious play style to the detriment of everyone else, or live with optimal autists fucking up the eco beyond redemption. Also it makes heavy armor the only valid option (oblivion kinda had this issue).

I know “npcs drop their whole inventory on death” is realism and all but mechanically it causes a lot of problems for these games. It messes up the leveled lists, messes up looting, and I feel like a tard lugging around 20 sets of elvish armor just to pawn it off later.
