No it wasn't. Finding out you're not on the spectrum is still valuable data.
Congratulations, you may not be autistic/have Asperger's. That's a pretty good thing.
Originally posted by snab_snib shut the fuck up. there's no such thing as autism. its a fucking meme. you're so fucking retarded for posting this.
snab snib, you either insane/delusional or an incredibly annoying shitty troll. Knock it off. If you're going to troll, at least be amusing.
So there are two main options, and either way, I'm just going to start ignoring you, and others will do the same. It's pretty easy to see through you and it isn't going to work. Try something else, or just go on 4chan or Reddit if you have some pathological desire or derive pleasure from this, for whatever reason.
Originally posted by Lanny I considered taking it but then I realize that's the most autistic move you can make
Have you honestly never taken it before? I genuinely believe you may be afraid of the truth. I hope you realize how incredibly irrational you're being, which is completely out of alignment of how you attempt to portray yourself, your natural predispositions, and your ideal self.
Just go for it. It can really help you understand yourself, explain a lot about your life/past, and avoid future issues, know how to handle certain things you have problems with. -

2017-05-17 at 10:44 PM UTC in Anyone ever get spanked as a kidFucking christ Spectral, I have no problem believing your stories.
Contrary to what many believe, the world was not a better place back then, and the data clearly backs it up. It's all about cognitive biases and ignorance, incorrect beliefs. Mean world syndrome is a major explanation for why people think society has been getting worse.
A lot of the world is still incredibly fucked up, and was so much worse just within the last 100 years. Sure as hell didn't seem to do any good since clearly life was so shitty for the vast majority of people. -

Fucking snowflakes
Spanking really doesn't work well.
Ultimately, you have to realize that when you have kids you're playing russian roulette. You can do everything right and they can still have terrible outcomes.
A lot of people make the unfortunate assumption that if a kid is acting out his parents are just shitty and don't discipline them. You have no way of knowing if that kid has autism, ADD, or other disorders, and they absolutely are not myths or just schemes by pharmaceutical companies to get more money (There's certainly corruption, but it doesn't come close to explaining it. People just tend to have an incredibly poor grasp of logic and reasoning and act as if there's an implicit assumption that it's a 100% explanation, all or nothing).
For all you know the parents do discipline them, and they still act that way. And of course you people don't notice all the kids that are perfectly well behaved and were never spanked or needed serious discipline, their parents didn't necessarily do anything special, they weren't perfect super-parents.
Genes matter far more than most people would like to believe, or understand. -

Originally posted by AngryOnion Or does that mean I'm reclusive alcoholic.
Being reclusive and and alcoholic definitely align well with Asperger's. There's the whole GABAergic deficit and hypertrophied amygdala aspect causing issues with chronic anxiety, fear, apprehension, and the amplification of other negative emotions. And of course the recluse part fits well due to the above, along with social deficits, sensory hypersensitivity, etc.
Probably part of the club. Could explain a lot and help you learn how to cope with it, work your way out of your problems.
Benzos are a way better option than alcohol, btw. -

2017-05-19 at 5:04 AM UTC in teh retraded thred herppppp slober fuk glum editshinHeard Ash earlier today making some weird/really unnerving noises so I scrambled to see what was wrong. I was worried she had eaten something she shouldn't have and may have been choking, but she just threw up over the bathroom floor. I wasn't the least bit upset, just concerned for her. Cleaning up really didn't feel like much of a burden at all, it wasn't much effort, and I didn't even feel disgust. All I was thinking of was that hopefully it wasn't anything serious and her stomach just became upset for some reason, that I wanted her to be well and get better.
Then I had the thought that this is what it must be like for parents, what having children is like. Except I'm still an extreme misanthrope, anti-natalist, and will never have or raise children for a wide variety of sound reasons.
Still, even though I'm in a state of severe blunted affect and anhedonia, it was interesting to be able to relate, gain an insight for a moment. Well, it wasn't really that interesting or profound.
Ash gets energetic and silly and times, often at night, batting at me, giving me little love bites, which really warms my heart. She's a sweet cat.
Shit, the feelings of romantic love neurotypicals can develop for each other must be terrifyingly intense. I'm not sure I could handle it. I honestly feel it could push me over the edge to insanity or cause my brain to start hemorrhaging, somehow. Human emotions really are terrifying things, you can see the effects of them, what they drive people to do, all around you, recorded in the greatest works man has produced.
Everyone should read Schopenhauer's views on love.
Originally posted by Kolokol-1 It's basically a drug addict support group
No, I'd say it's more of a severe depression/suicide support group. Drug addiction/dependance is just a coping mechanism, a symptom of it. Severe depression, disillusionment, anxiety/fear/apprehension, unfulfillment, alienation, isolation. Pretty much everyone here has serious problems.
So we huddle together with the only community we've ever felt a part of, cling to it, because it hurts too much to be alone. -

Originally posted by Discount Whore What is your obsession with this? Culture is a thing you know. It doesn't make it a disorder. There's probably some Japanese dude posting on Chinese.space about how Americans are all manic because all we do is talk. Even on the train!
Honestly, the fuck is with you White people and your pathological desire to constantly babble about the most inane shit? Why can't you be like us introverted cultures and just think and read. It's so much more valuable. This is why you can't compete with Asians in universities.
Actually, it was just a joke, mostly spurred by Lanny's refusal to take the damn autism/aspergers quotient test.
And the train thing isn't even true. At least here in the bay area I literally never see strangers chatting on the BART. I've read that in the UK it's even worse. And don't get me started on Germany and other Northern European countries, the Scandinavians. Whites really are a race of extremes.
Some of the most brilliant people, the greatest artists, contributions to mankind, and also the most utterly idiotic self-destructive pinkos to ever walk the face of the earth. Realistically, the vast majority of white people are just awful and should be exterminated, just like any other race. This is a major part of the reason why I think white nationalism is utterly idiotic.

WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB NO MORE, BITCHES! I MAY JUST BE COMING BACK!
No, not manic or out of the woods just yet, but some sunlight and just 5 days into Nardil and I'm feeling better than I have in who knows how long. Definitely gonna start going outside for a walk regularly again. Volunteering at an animal shelter and taking dogs for walks (It's a shame cats aren't good for this, I really prefer them) would be great, I'd have some company, a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Can't wait to see how good this gets, especially once I reach the transformational threshold level.
I swear to god I may just be willing to kill or rob a bank if that's what it takes to stay on Nardil.

Originally posted by Lanny I've found magnesium helps with jaw tension/grinding on serotonergic stimulants, not sure if the same would be true for whatever you're doing but it probably couldn't hurt to try.
My little nigga, you're learning. Magnesium indeed.
As for nose damage, just use a damn neti pot or a water bottle with a spout that fits in your nostril tightly and has a hole in the cap for air displacement, that's what I used. Oh shit, I can't remember how much sea salt you're supposed to use. Oh, and boil the water first (of course let it cool down to body temp before you use it), mix the sea salt in while it's hot.
Do it after there's been enough time for it to fully kick in. Don't know why everyone that snorts doesn't do this. -

I counter with what I consider, in my expert/superior as a critique of the finest works man has produced, the most profound quote from a film that reached the epitome of intellectual calibre and depth:

2017-05-17 at 3:54 AM UTC in What happens when you die? Best and worst case scenarioI thought I had posted this before, must have been in another thread. Copy paste from a quick lookup:
"death is nothing to us." When we exist, death is not; and when death exists, we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death, there is awareness.
Epicurus has one of the most concise and sound explanations of death I've come across. -

Originally posted by newfag I was diagnosed with Aspergers as a kid, and I exhibit all of the traits (know every factoid about radiohead, shitty empathy, etc), but I've learned to manually read people over the years (to fucking machiavellian levels, I've been emotionally manipulative before and I can't go to regular therapy because I can't stop psychoanalyzing my therapists). I took an IQ test(official one, not just being a neckbeard) and I scored 156, and that was back in 9th grade. I scored 13 on OP's quiz. Is it possible that my retard analytical capabilities are helping me overcome my retard social impairments?
Definitely, especially with a high IQ, enough knowledge, and practice, structuring your mind, you can definitely hypercompensate just through raw cognitive prowess. It's what I do, although...I did end up becoming a hiki and multiple other things happened to fuck me up profoundly.
It's hyper-systemizing and truth seeking behavior. The cognitive style is just radically different than most people. It's like the Vulcans from Star Trek. You understand the world on a cognitive level as opposed to an intuitively, empathetically/emotionally/instinctively.
Completely relate to what you said, even not being able to handle therapy because of the hyper-awareness and being unable to stop analysing everything they do, seeing right through them, even being aware of how they perceive you, what they're thinking, how they respond, what misunderstandings they have, what they won't understand, every flaw they have etc. Just always being multiple steps ahead, already knowing how they're going to respond/things will end, to the point where it feels there is no point. And of course all the flaws you build up, the profile in their mind, can just drive you insane, make you feel incredibly frustrated, and not want to be around them. Problem is, this exact behavior makes you absolutely miserable.
Honestly, a good dose of benzos would probably be best to just get your mind to shut the hell up and simply be in the moment. It's why people drink (Lanny).

Originally posted by RisiR † So what now, Malice? I did your fucking test.
Well, it could explain a lot about yourself and your life. Maybe look up a book about Asperger's and see if it resonates with you. For many people once they do that, they finally feel understood, it can just explain so much about your life, and teach you the most effective strategies to deal with your problems.
Originally posted by Open Your Mind I got 19. However I have a feeling that I would have gotten a higher score if I took this test 15 years ago. Would that mean a person can grow out of autistic-like traits? I was definitely a quiet weird nerdy kid, but feel like I grew out of it when I started working and doing drugs and was forced to interact with people I would have otherwise had no interest in.
Yeah, autistic traits can definitely lessen with age, you can learn to cope and compensate for deficits. It's a myth that people "grow out of it", it's always there, but with the right life experience, therapy and meds, some can blend in enough to just seem nerdy, introverted, awkward, and eccentric.
It's a very complex neurological disorder.
