Heh, on the bus and I began practicing holding the stomach vacuum, then I recalled the recent scene from Boku no Hero where Deku has been holding the old school “air chair” exercise position for the entire class. You just press your back against the back of the seat and lift your body upward, off the seat, supporting yourself with your legs. The movement and instability of the bus makes it much better.

Since you're probably not eating much or at all and your metabolic rate/energy expenditure, physical activity, and sweating are all increased, I would really recommend using an electrolyte drink mix.

Years ago I was researching, and most know how obsessive my research is, the optimal hydration source to utilize throughout my strength training regimen and came across a news story about professional athletes, in this article Major League Baseball, using Pedialyte as an elite source of hydration, due to being so optimally formulated.

Pedialyte is excessively expensive, even the powder form, but I found an alternative that's actually superior, comparing ingredients, and far cheaper. As you can see, it's very well reviewed: https://www.rei.com/product/109746/vitalyte-electrolyte-replacement-drink-mix-80-servings

You should always use magnesium glycinate (powder form is best, much cheaper) when using stimulants due to the depletion they cause, especially at supra-therapeutic levels (Amounts used for recreation.), which is a major part of what causes stiff or lockjaw, teeth grinding, and other symptoms.

Memantine is also requisite. It's a pharmaceutical NMDA antagonist which is very intelligently designed, regulating both insufficient and excessive levels of glutamate, which stimulants increase to levels that can potentially cause excitotoxicity. Many also report that it greatly reduce tolerance and the buildup of tolerance, possibly lower the ceiling as well. If you peruse the Wikipedia page you'll note that it is being researched for a wide array of promising treatment options. It has also been very well received on r/nootropics, with many more people than most substances hailing it as miracle drug for their ailments, with some producing fascinating anecdotes of how effective memantine can be. Memantine is extremely safe, there is no concern of interaction with other medication or drugs, except it may potentiate ketamine too much or make it unpleasant (Research if you ever use it.).

Woah, I just got trips for 6 (three sixes) on the die (singular of dice) I sometimes fidget with, first try! I swear I've been able to get it far more than statistically likely. I hope it really is Satan about to grant me incredible power.

It's not actually an SSRE! The basic information published about drugs, even the classification, can be immensely inaccurate and misleading. It's primarily a glutamatergic modulator at therapeutic doses.

The neurobiological properties of T-PAIN (Stablon): from monoamine hypothesis to glutamatergic modulation
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2902200/

It's even been confirmed to be safe to combine with MAOIs, producing no interaction, despite serotonergic drugs being incredibly dangerous to combine with them, deadly.

Because of its effect of glutamatergic modulation, it can lower excessive glutamate levels. Hydro has a severe anxiety disorder, which is extremely common in Asperger's, having a 65% comorbidity, and being of a different nature than the anxiety that afflicts neurotypicals. A deficit in the GABAergic pathway has been confirmed, leading to far lower effective GABA levels. As for glutamate, hyperglutamatergia is another core neurological aspect. There are differences in GAD, glutamic acid decarboxylase, which converts glutamate into GABA, in regions of the brain. As well as the metabotropic glutamate receptors, mglur. Epilepsy has a 25% comorbidity with ASD, and the core aspect of the sizable effective glutamate/GABA imbalance plays a strong key role in this.

There are other aspects that contribute to anxiety and epilepsy in Asperger's such as serotonergic deficiency and its effect being mediated by certain subreceptors, such as the 5-HT1A receptor implicated in anxiety, which the anxiolytic Buspirone (Pitiful efficacy.) agonizes. Activation of 5-HT1a also produces an anticonvulsant effect and increases the seizure threshold (Positive effect.). Along with the right hemisphere of the amygdala, which deals primarily with negative emotions, being hypertrophied an average of 20%, along with connections to the prefrontal cortex being 50% weaker on average, leading to an excessively long signaling period, well after any perceived danger, that is, anything that triggers the fear response/elicits amygdala activity related to danger or negativity will cause a signal that is amplified, much stronger than the response of a neurotypical without an anxiety disorder, that will also remain for substantially longer. It may also possess increased cell density. The amygdala also has the highest density of GABAa receptors in the brain, providing a crucial insight when connected to the effective deficiency of GABA stemming from a pathway deficit. Of course it's long been known that the amygdala plays a pivotal role in epilepsy.

For example, among males the self-reported rate of homosexuality and bisexuality is a substantially higher, close to two fold the general pop. IIRC. Gender dysphoria is also immensely overrepresented. I don't know if specific fetishes have been studied, like BDSM, but this does seem to be the primary one, by far, that they tend to discover they greatly enjoy.

I've honestly thought about attempting to become a sadist in the bay area/SF BDSM community eventually simply because I genuinely enjoy abusing people and their suffering. Of course I know BDSM is completely different, what the boundaries are. I'd have to learn what the process is. Seems pretty intimidating and awkward to me, having a group of new people judge you, the sub/micro-culture.

I don't know how well advertising myself as asexual would go, which I may genuinely be (I'll have to verify), because I don't necessarily want to engage in sex, although I wouldn't have a problem using objects, even digits.

It's consensual and the sub enjoys it, so it's perfectly ethical. It could be a healthy outlet for my...desires. Then I wouldn't feel compelled to behave like this online or in other situations because I've already been satiated, have a replacement for them that's far superior.

Post above yours, in case you missed it.

Until the end I thought you were just mocking me in your first paragraph. That's really surprising.

Btw, do you know the reason why upper level math is required in majors that don't even really use it, that isn't even used in careers in that field? It's to narrow down the pool of people that are able to achieve high marks and complete the major. No, I'm not kidding, it's essentially a selection/screening process. There are a variety of traits that mathematical ability and being able to pass these courses, achieve high marks, is strongly correlated with, dependent on, really. I don't mean purely cognitive in the sense that they're used directly in problem solving. The primary one that is't in that category is conscientiousness, which is one of the most important traits for being able to do well in school and work, one of the strongest predictors.

These math classes are highly g-loaded, they're strongly correlated with the general factor of intelligence, which IQ is a measurement of. So, basically, if you're able to pass these classes there's a far higher chance that you're actually suited for these fields and will be able to pass higher level classes, complete your major. Weeding out the unsuitable benefits them because the sooner they learn they aren't suitable or capable, the sooner they can decide what else to do. It also saves resources by keeping them from wasting time, space, and money by being in those higher level classes that they're screening for. A very beneficial aspect of this is that smaller class sizes, a smaller student to teacher ratio, allows more individual attention (extremely valuable, especially the higher the level, further you are into the major), a higher average quality of peers, which improves debates and discussions, the people who can assist each other.

I'm extremely critical of the education system, particularly higher education, but it's also a fascinating subject to study. The multitude of profound societal effects it has, effects on individual lives, exactly what flaws it contains, the explanation of why, analysis of the direct effects and what stems from them, what the optimal policies would be etc.

Oh, as to the screening and the multiple benefits it has, there are alternate ways it can be accomplished without those classes, which are really a very inefficient way of doing so, and with a higher level of accuracy/efficacy.

It's really a fucking dick move, still. Having to go through that, and this is a primary reason? I swear, if a professor ever asks the class why they think we're (required to) taking it, what the benefits are, or brings up the whole "You might never use it IRL, but it's teaching you how to think." bullshit spiel I'm going to raise my hand and go on a rant about this, ignoring any requests to be quiet, let someone else butt in, or allow the class to move on, as many times as I can get away with. I am not afraid and I will not be silenced, I know exactly what impression it will make on the prof. and that's exactly what I want. He is enabling this barbaric system!

Oh, about the math, I forgot to mention something. I've seen it mentioned that there's a common trait among aspies where if a subject doesn't interest us we find it impossible to pay attention. Exactly how I feel about math and other subjects. Of course, when there's genuine interest, especially a high level, fascination, bam, full aspie powers unlocked and unleashed.

Also, I wasn't kidding about the difference Nardil made, beginning to really recover from depression for so long. I really am getting back my old self, my ability, being able to actually utilize my cognition, my strengths, more of the power my mind/brain has.

It's pretty undeniable right? There's an immense different in the post length I can churn out. Of course you guys won't consider this something positive, but it certainly is for university, of course the writing style and quality would be very different than casual unedited stream of consciousness posts on a message board.

This is kind of cool. I'd really like to see just how far I can go, develop myself. Especially once university starts, I'm 100% certain it's going to make an immense positive difference, although of course it's going to take time to adjust and for the effects to take place.

And of course it doesn't change anything about your criticisms of mathematics in school, but again, sort of a strawman if you intended it as a critique of mathematics per se. Also the stats comment is kinda comic. Lockhart wrote a famous paper on this I think you might like: https://www.maa.org/external_archive/devlin/LockhartsLament.pdf

Lanny, you were probably the kind of kid who had his parents buy him books of math problems that he solved for fun. You're a fucking computer science major that's genuinely passionate about it, has had a strong interest since a teenager, and didn't choose the major or occupation for the money (Well, I mean, you have stated that you work for an industry you described as essentially being Satan, but you know what I mean.).

You are not normal. You should know that the vast majority of people aren't like you. And that's fine, of course I'm even more abnormal in my own way.

To be perfectly clear, I was not criticizing mathematics itself. Of course I understand its immense value, the numerous profound contributions and effects it's had on society! Anyone who isn't an idiot should have grasped the extent of this. I can even understand the immense beauty of it, the joy others find in the field, the fascination, sense of wonder.

You're absolutely right, no, I could not produce a meaningful definition on the spot. The thing is, I haven't decided to build my social identity on being a pseudo-intellectual who hopes to be endearing and is profoundly insecure about his own intelligence and knowledge, his competence and skills, and how others perceive, particularly due to the social environment of the segments of san Francisco that he's involved in, how his peers are generally all highly intelligent, knowledgeable, and skilled as well, many far beyond his level, and he finds it painfully difficult to give the impression, have others perceive him, as being a person who consistently has the conversational skills and personality traits (Without alcohol, particularly around people he doesn't know, effect augmented if the environment is unknown as well: Awkward, quiet, introverted, soft spoken) to produce engaging dialogue, to say things that are substantial and interesting while speaking on important matters, especially considering that for the vast majority of people computer science and what you do at work are not interesting subjects in the slightest, rendering your occupation and primary field of study, your main interest that you majored in, impotent.

Ultimately, I have absolutely no interest in working in any field, in devoting part of my life occupationally or through independent efforts, to mathematics, to anything that would regularly involve the use of advanced mathematics (Don't assume what I mean by "advanced"). Everyone has different interests, things they want to specialize in.

my point is, even if a person practiced indefinitely, there is a maximum performance level attainable by that individual. more intelligent people will have a higher maximum performance. because my maximum score is 160 doesn't mean my true IQ is 160, it means it's within a maximum of 15-20 points of 160, because a person can only train so much before reaching a bottleneck, meaning a "real" IQ of at least 140 or 145, which is still probably higher than yours

like, look at this test: http://media.iqlati.net/2017/06/EMC-30R.pdf

it would be literally impossible for someone who isnt acquainted with iq testing to get a valid score on something this hard. you're recommended to spend 10 to 15 hours solving this one test. isn't that enough time for a full degree of practice effect to be completed? my score was 18/30, 149 sd15 on this one and i only spent 2-3 hours. notice how the mean IQ in the norm is 146.8 http://iqlati.net/emc-30r/ the reason for this is because regular people are far less likely to dedicate time to exploring and utilizing their full spectrum of capabilities to solve abstract and difficult problems, which is exactly what i've done and that you've been criticizing me for.

SPLOO!, I already wrote how to resolve this once and for all. Make a thread somewhere, and include my criticisms.

Unless you're afraid of being proven wrong, because you may be aware that you are going to be exposed to multiple people who are highly intelligent and knowledgeable about psychometrics and IQ tests and have to debate multiple criticisms. It's far easier to remain here where only one person, who hasn't even had much of an interest in psychometrics in years, read material on the subject, is debating you. I am not expert, you need to ask one to be certain, or at least someone with an amateur interest/hobby who's attained a very high level through independent study.

The great thing about being a philosophy major is that I don't have to take any math classes beyond general education. Fuck yeah, nigga.

    Fuck math, I hate it!!!

The justifications for taking mathematics are absolutely false, there are critical flaws in the idea people have of its actual value to the vast majority. Sploo, you will like this. Translation: An attempt at rationalization and self-delusion to avoid accepting that I'm simply stupid and intellectually lazy.

#1) It does not teach you "how to think". This is related to the concept of the transfer of learning, which is part of the field of study of education. Unfortunately so few people are familiar with this term, ever come across it, when it's necessary to know in order to be able to locate the relevant research/papers. It's been studied for so long, it isn't a new concept at all. The answer is absolutely clear, learning in general is highly specific and does not transfer.

Not only that, but there are classes in the field of philosophy that essentially do specifically teach you this, and they're far far superior. They're the series of classes on logic.

#2) The vast majority of people do not use math beyond a basic level at their occupation. Easy research. IIRC the percentage who did was only around 5%, and of course that doesn't tell you just how advanced the math they used is. Many likely don't utilize any beyond fairly basic algebra.

    #3) Retention: https://www.gwern.net/Spaced%20repetition

Long term retention is incredibly poor, especially if you never use it IRL. If you don't at least think about, or read about it.

If something you learned in university isn't a regular part of your life in some manner, if you never utilize it, it doesn't cross your mind, for the vast majority of people (Of course there's always variation in memory (e.g. me)).

There's a large amount of research on this and the results are clear and consistent, particularly with the learning style most students utilize, commonly referred to as "cramming".

#4) Genuine grasp as opposed to simple rote memorization and regurgitation.

Once again, researched. No, the vast majority of students/graduates do not have a genuine grasp of mathematics and are completely unable to apply it in a manner where it could actually be utilized IRL, demonstrate a fundamental understand, a grasp of the underlying logic.

/end list. There may have been something I missed, but these are the most important items. Do they genuinely understand it? Do they use it? Does it teach you "how to think"? Do they even remember it? Then what the fuck is the point? It's a genuine question. It's absolutely useless, an unbelievable waste of time and resources that contributes to the incredibly harmful effects of the current higher education system on society and individuals.

So, essentially, I genuinely believe that the vast majority of mathematics should not be a requirement for most people, even for general ed. Of course the obvious exception is the stem field, fields of study that specifically involve it and lead to careers that utilize it as a key part of the occupation. This is just obvious.

The vast majority of people (data available) do not enjoy mathematics or have an affinity for it. Completely unsurprising since it's so out of alignment with our evolutionary history. Most simply do not have the genetic/biological/neurological makeup, the personality and cognitive traits, cognitive style.

Now, as such a strong hyper-systemizer, an aspie, why wouldn't I be able to grasp it. No, I could, and I have, when needed; far above the level of of the average student (Nothing to brag about, not as if it's difficult), grasping it far faster. In elementary I would consistently score extremely high, the 99th percentile, on the yearly standardized test, the Stanford 9, and of course regular assignments and tests were no problem.

The answer is fairly simple: I don't feel any affinity toward it, I don't enjoy it all, have an interest in it, and I have no need for it, it has no practical value in my life. I find it incredibly tedious, repetitive, painfully, unbearably, boring. Most of the bullshit classes, mandatory classes that have nothing to do with your major, are already enough of a slog, but I find math to, by far, be the worst slog of all.

I literally never tried once I entered middle school. Although, amusingly, during one year we spent regular time in the computer class doing math assignments there and I managed to, by far, be at the top of the class. My best friend was in there too and he was smart as hell (Couldn't beat my performance in elementary, of course). Far more well rounded, knowledgeable/well read, functional, and driven, than I was. I was the really eccentric slacker type who followed his own independednt interests.

Once I entered high school I recall I genuinely, no exaggeration, refused to pay attention, read or study the book, or do any work at all, because I found it so excruciatingly dull and uninteresting. Of course I'm not going to know shit if I did this and never independently studied the subject, how on earth could I?

Now, one exception, at least, is statistics. This is an absolutely critical subject to study and fully grasp; as in have it memorized, read books multiple times until it's ingrained. It is absolutely necessary for logic, rational analysis, to be able to fully understand studies/papers/research, the data, spot any flaws, understand what's being conveyed, the methods and crucial results.

I fucking swear, you goddamn instant gratification lazy pieces of shit today. This is exactly what was predicted. You motherfuckers don't read anything substantial nowadays unless you're forced to in school and can't find a way to weasel (cheat) out of it. No wonder the vast majority of people are effectively mentally retarded by my standards. You don't even deserve to be considered humans, you're not much different than lower animals. READ!!!

Damn, even my explanation of why I'm making long posts was too long for you pitiful ADD riddled cognitive untermensch. What's your reading speed?! What's your reading speed?!

I also included valuable information about developing the skill to consistently ignore them and then going beyond and applying the same concept to other time sinks, the tangentially related highly important and valuable subject of rational ignorance, improving your ability to consistently and rapidly make judgments on what is truly important, what should be given (sequential) priority, the multitude of negative effects of common time sinks, and the benefits of surpassing this. At the very least, think about how much time could be liberated, which can be utilized for far more important and enjoyable matters.

The last segment was about flmodafinil, which I clearly noted and stated you could skip.

PoC, I forgot to note this, crossed my mind around the time I first found out: I actually predicted you and Hydro years ago in TRT. I remember you responding by saying that you thought Hydro wasn't exactly the girlfriend type/the right choice for you and you didn't think about her that way. It could have been true at the time. Weed Smoker backed me up with a lol and stated that he agreed. Some time later I recall he made another post about this saying that I was right when you made a post related to Hydro or the inverse. I saw the connection.

    So, I called it.
