Parent of a "weird kid", how did you react when you realized that your kid did weird/creepy stuff?
    https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/3icb0e/parent_of_a_weird_kid_how_did_you_react_when_you/

I come home from work one night to find my darling two year old blonde daughter standing at the top of the stairs staring up at the full moon in her jammies, teddy bear in hand. She should have been in bed by this time.

Not wanting to scare her i walked up the stairs, knelt down next to her and asked her what she was thinking about.

I was imagining she would say something childish like "is the moon really made of cheese daddy?" Something cute like that.

Instead, she turns to face me with a very serious look in her face and in a very serious and creepy monotone voice says to me: "We are all in the same cage!"

Two years old! I nearly died of fright. i literally recoiled from her and ran back down the stairs backwards. I couldn't believe it.

She said a few more creepy things like that but it stopped after a while.

    Woah, dude, that's deep.

Their analysis is mediocre, but it's interestign that black can have so many positive attributes. I dress like shit because I'm dysfunctional and don't take care of myself, but the last time I bought some clothes I made a conscious effort to move away from darker colors due to the association with aggressiveness and suspicion, and I already have those characteristics to a very large extent. It just isn't me, though. I think it might be best to go in the opposite direction and embrace it, combined with my taste for the functional and optimal.

Except maybe not microweight because it's not as durable. I like the properties of merino wool, thermoregulation and odor resistance. IIRC you're actually not supposed to wash it until after 2-3 days, which is interesting.

Ooh, Icebreaker. I remember I was specifically interested in this brand years ago, even went to REI, but they didn't have it in stock. Had the same idea, minus the color aspect. Lost interest. very high quality.

I don't particularly care about the way I look, I would prefer to literally be invisible when outside, safety aspect aside. "What do you want your clothes to say about you?" Absolutely nothing, don't look at me, don't speak to me, don't even think about me. But that thinking is too simplistic. "Don't judge people by the way they look." There's a value in appearance, a key concept that this line of thought misses. Limitations, opportunity/transaction costs, signaling. There are an immense amount of people in the world and only a limited amount of time to get to know any of them. The amount of people you can really get to know is tiny. If you did attempt to not judge anyone by the way they look you'd be far worse off. They may not tell you most things about a person with certainty, but on average differences matter and everyone relies on them, although most will deny, be incredibly disingenuous, when it comes to the more controversial aspects. Signaling via appearance can act as a valuable enhancement to find like minded people. Those in ghetto, hip hop, white trash, redneck, juggalo attire, things along those lines, as very unlikely to be worth your time, more likely to be untrustworthy, criminal, pose a threat to your well being.

Whether you like it or not, the aggregate value gained by a positive impression can be immense, and wearing high quality attractive clothing doesn't come at much of a cost. Of course, I dislike people and this superficial posturing, human/sociological behaviors, so much that I refuse to go much further and still avoid them as much as possible. I would be in a hell if I obsessed over it like many do, put so much effort into becoming king of a mountain that ends up being nothing but trash.

I've honestly never heard of a job that would interest me, other than crime. Nothing makes me feel happy or fulfilled, there's nothing I feel passionate about.

Hate it. Despite being an extreme systemizer (100% thinking, 0% agreeableness, 100% introversion giving realistic answers) I hate the dry hard sciences. I'm extremely atypical in the fact that, despite misinterpretations of my behavior and superficial appearances, I have a complete understanding of humans and their behavior, even having very high accuracy at "reading" people, their expressions, body language, predicting and understanding their thoughts/viewpoints/point of view/perceptions, motivations, and behavior in general. Reason being: Humans and human societies, the human brain, are the most complex systems of all.

I fully understand the immense value of these fields, and enjoy the fruits of their labor, utilizing them, I just don't want to do it myself and would rather leave it to others. You likely feel the same about many things if you think about it, for example, construction is very important, just look around you, as well as growing food, other menial tasks, but do you actually want to do them? It's joyless for me. Tedious, repetitive, a complete lack of excitement.

most of that was funny dude

    See?

I genuinely found the entirety of it painful and cringeworthy. I wasn't trying to, it's simply my natural reaction. A sign of the level of alienation I've attained from the common man.
  5. Malice Naturally Camouflaged
Oh dear god, this is what the common man finds funny? I suppose it doesn't surprise me, I'm just normally shielded from it due to my bubble. I'm never going to be able to coexist with the vast majority of people and I don't want to, it's just painful.

Dude, it's totally common in most of the world. Many famous, well respected people that greatly advanced humanity married their cousins, first cousins, even. Darwin married his first cousin.

Things I wish I had known as a noob:

1.) Farm the Eye of Cthulhu for the binoculars once you can comfortably beat him. Those combined with the spelunking potion are great for ore mining. + hunter's potion for farming rare monsters for drops.
2.) Build a good arena, they are important.
3.) Save all the materials you need for the ankh shield and (true) night's edge.
4.) Teleporters are useful. Don't neglect the mechanic's items, they're fun to play around with and for optimization.
5.) Don't neglect the fishing quests, some items are useful, as well as some fish for potions and health.
6.) Get the molten pickaxe before hardmode, it's the only one that can mine the first new ore.
7.) Take a miming potion and build a hellavator.
8.) Don't neglect corruption/crimson containment, especially in expert mode, even moreso once hardmode begins. Although the clentaminator makes cleanup easy once it's available after the first mechanical boss is beaten.
9.) Don't avoid goblin armies once hardmode begins, the summoner drops some great items.
10.) Yoyo bag makes yoyos awesome weapons.
11.) Quick stack money in a piggy bank/safe, don't be lazy, you'll need it.

Already beaten Skeletron Prime (definitely the easiest) and The Destroyer on expert mode. Think I beat both on my first try with full health, it's easy with good gear, a strategy, and an arena. Nearly had the twins but I had trouble focusing on one and they both went into their second stage.

Lanny, let's compare architectural taste once you're far enough into the game. I haven't focused on building a house purely centered on aesthetics yet, but here are some things I've played around with.

My obsidian house segment. Shining Moon is my favorite painting, along with Starry Night, Land, Lake of Fire, and Something Evil is Watching You.

Arena. Also made some automatic meteorite brick doors. The teleporters are automatic too.

Dapper smooth granite suite, with golden furniture from the Pirate Invasion.

Toggleable sign with rainbow blocks from the rainbow slime I hunted.

Oh, I should add a disco ball and connect it to one of the levers.

You should definitely try tea, it doesn't have a significant (negative) effect on potency if they're already dry. The psilocin (not psilocybin) is so easily damaged that if they've been dried they've already lost all the potency they're going to lose from heat. Prevents nausea, which can be caused by the indigestible fiber, and speeds up onset a lot. Way better than eating them.

Im buying this kid a ticket home asap…what nigger just goes through shit when you tell themthere isnt anything good, plus if Idid have anything good (besides opiates, and §m£ÂgØL can vouche for this, I gave him a bottle of soma, tramadol, and ativan along with a few hodgepodge pills here or there Ifound) Id have given it to him. I told him we didnt have any robotussin or bundy shit- before my dad died we all were sick with the flu and we took it all. He goes behind my back and askes my grandmother if he can look for shit and then I get bitched at because he left everything laying out and didnt put shit away, and of course he didnt find anything. He came in one night somewhat paniced asking what was in a jar I had that was a white powder.. Iasked why and he said "well I tasted it and didnt know what it was"… its a shame he didnt find the jar I have of lye. Who fucking does that? Tonight I foundmy bottle of animal tranqs laying out and I had 2 phenobarbitals which went MIA and he denies taking them. A few weeks back I found random SSRIs all over the floor near the dogs.. which for no other reason pisses me off because the dogs could have gotten intothem. He is also a dumbass- we spent the day at the spring with the baby and him and he spent the majority of it looking for weed.. wellsome nigger sold him a joint of "spice" for10$. Lmao wtf… why when I try to do the right thing like let someone who would be homeless stay in our house, instead of just being happy they got a roofover their head, they take free reign to snoop around? Look this kid aint all bad.. hes seriously helped us out.. but wtf? I feel shit on honestly. I have personal shit I dont want people to see.. Atleast if §m£ÂgØL did snoop around he was smart enough to put shit awayor notget caught doing it, though I highly doubt he did or would do anything like that, anything worth stealing Iwas saying "hey, motherfucker, take these!", believe it or not Im a real giving sort of person.. if Igotit and dont need it, I give it to the next person who does.

Damn, I thought I was reading about §m£ÂgØL until the end. Who is it, then? The vast majority of people are mind numbingly stupid, dealing with them is just painful.

Various executioners have reported that after they severed some heads, the eyes kind of looked around, as if still aware of its surroundings.

When Lanny offered to let §m£ÂgØL use his place in exchange for sucking his dick I thought if that scene with the Black guy in Requiem.

"I know it's pretty baby, but I didn't take it out for air."
  14. Malice Naturally Camouflaged
"Joke." Like you wouldn't suck his dick.

Why would I? I'm assuming this is either due to a homoerotic fantasy on the part of your bifagottry or you're projecting and paid for your heroin via non-monetary means.
  15. Malice Naturally Camouflaged
N'aww, malice has a crush on Lanny. Seriously though, just suck his dick already.

    You completely missed the joke.

Because as we all know, the only reason anyone makes money is because of their staggering natural intelligence…

You do seem quite affluent, and at such a young age as well. Your trajectory is truly something to be proud of and you know you're at least significantly above average, despite any insecurities, which we all have.

And you do happen to be male as well, in one of the most male dominated sectors as well.

Yare yare...was gathering the items to craft an ankh shield before fighting the mechanical bosses in expert mode and it took me over 800 dark mummy kills to get a blindfold. The drop rate is supposed to be 1-2%! Other people have had similar problems, but that was one hell of a bad luck streak. The message at the top of the game during that was even "You sand bro?" It's like the game was mocking me. Made me wonder if it was a punishment somehow snuck in for users that had pirated the game.

Tip, if it doesn't feel challenging anymore, start an expert game sooner so it will retain more of its novelty.
  19. Malice Naturally Camouflaged
No wonder you turned out so screwed up. I would be pissed if my parents had done that to me.
