It's the insights into the fundamentals of human behavior, the dynamics of systems of societal organization, mass and individual (leaders) psychology etc. The overwhelming majority of literature is structured in a way that causes it to be an exceedingly inefficient source for this information.

Had the thought that I felt overall less lousy due to cough symptoms diminishing, but more in other ways due to the following. Craptracular, spectacularly crappy.
I took two Kroger brand max strength decongestant pills. Didn't think the effects would last anywhere near as long as they did, they didn't seem to be very strong at the time (Classic mistake made with drugs, but fortunately I integrate events/data of this nature like a machine.). At least 8 hours laying in bed, not sleeping a wink. I tried to avoid it, I really didn't want to do it, but eventually I had a wank and managed to drift off.
I really should see someone about possible sinus/allergy trouble. I'm terribly chronically congested. Mentioned before that I have an unusually weak sense of smell and taste. That, along with problems in the hedonic system, regions/mechanisms devoted to reward/motivation, are likely a large part of why I dislike food in general. Intermittent fasting can certainly be good for health, but this could well help push me to a level of apathy that leads to a net loss. Oh, I noticed I can very rapidly detect changes in allergen levels in the air. I don't mean in a wide "This makes me sneeze, this doesn't" manner, like lying close to the bed or just a few inches away. I noticed I was so sensitive I could essentially automatically map out allergen currents. PaRT OF what was likely aggravating my cough was not washing my sheets in months and the black mold that's developed around my bed. I at least managed to give the blankets and sheets a good dusting and flip the bed around.
Me patented mornin' drug concoction always gets the gears going much as they're going ta.
I was also mildly amused that Kroger's store brand cough syrup was labeled "TUSSIN". Really made the good stuff easy to locate. I kind of like the taste of that sizzurp.
Now I really should be sauntering on over to Purple Star MD for some medicine. They have quite a number of good BOGO (buy one get one) and SPECIAL deals on cookie strain derivatives, which should be excellent for helping with my sleep schedule, which may well now be fucked up.
A jacket with merino wool base layer is warm enough, surprisingly (Living in a temperate region your entire life really makes you a pussy with regard to cold tolerance, I don't deny it.). I also want to carry some alcohol to make the ordeal more bearable. -
