I think it's a pretty cool idea, but I imagine it'd take a bit of experimenting to get right since not everything is going to work out as swell and hunky dory as one would fist think it should, especially considering there are so many different things going on at once. Another cool idea is one where people do hydroponics on floating forms where the fish help with the fertilization of the plants.

He's copying shit from the forum we wouldn't troll for him. He's pissed off at us and this is his revenge.

Ever since I saw like a little garden within a lightbulb I've always wanted to do that, they look cool as fuck. Or bonsai a cannabis plant, that'd be a nice little project too.

What makes you think this test has a high g loading? You say you made gains of 2 full standard deviations after repeating it multiple times which suggests the opposite, that the test is crap.

Have you ever taken a proper IQ test administered by a professional? I took the WAIS at 19 and scored 128 full scale IQ. I usually score 10 - 20 points higher on these BS online tests without practicing, so I question if they're properly normalized. And I could probably get much better at them if I had any interest in stroking my ego this way.

I don't see any reason to think this one is accurately reporting your mental ability.

  5. Originally posted by Clutch I'm past that, I'll do it myself. I told myself If I got called a fag one more time I'd have to troll here too and then they went and done it again. I'm going to stop for a while to smoke and eat then I'll be back to copy pasta the most retarded shit I can find.

Go for it, do you not realise the forum you're posting on? We post more retarded shit without even trying. You're only wasting your own time lad
  6. And it wasn't for me, it was for us.

  8. It seems like it's the norm for people to shun, scold, yell at, and gossip about those who they feel have a mental illness.
Is this something people in the social justice movement would be interested in working to change?
  9. Your question actually gets at the heart of what is known as "intersectionality." Intersectionality, in short, is the consideration of the existence of multiple axes of privilege or oppression on which someone exists at any given time. The Smith children are black, as you correctly point out, so they lack privilege where their race is concerned. Willow is, in particular, a black woman, so she lacks privilege on at least two axes, while Jaden, as a male, has male privilege, but lacks white privilege.
They do have privilege along other axes. To my knowledge, they are cisgendered, so they don't experience all the bullshit that trans individuals are forced through. They also at least seem to be able-bodied, so they don't experience ableism and have privilege along that axis. They also, as you point out, come from a family of means, so they have a shit-ton of privilege from their socioeconomic status. I think they're also straight, though I could be wrong on that since I don't really pay attention to them, so they have straight privilege, or at least straight passing privilege.
Woah, hang on a sec. Passing privilege? What the fuck is that?
Great question! Passing privilege is privilege that one has based on other people's perceptions of their identities. I'll use myself as an example. I'm bisexual. However, I am dating a member of the opposite gender, so it's pretty easy for people to assume I am straight. Therefore, people will treat me as if I am straight because, by dating a member of the opposite gender, I am conforming to their ideas about what it means to be straight. Think of it as being able to put on a disguise, or make a choice not to take it off. Whichever works for you. Either way, that's what it means to pass.
In short, the Smith children are not privileged because they are black, but they are privileged for many other reasons, and their socioeconomic status is probably the main driver of their privilege.
When you consider privilege, don't make it just about one aspect of a person. You have to consider their identity as being made up of the intersection of many different axes of privilege and their positions on each of those axes. That's why it's called "intersectionality."
    Hope that helps!
  10. I think there's also something to be said for the fact that the artist is refusing to preform for Trump, who is an individual, while the baker is refusing to bake for same-sex couples, who are a whole group of people. The decision not to perform for Trump is (presumably) based on his words and actions as an individual that many people have found offensive and hurtful. The decision not to bake for a same-sex wedding is simple prejudice.
  11. Nice copy pasta. Why do you expect us to troll for you if you can't even be original here
  12. I'm a straight, cis, white, male of moderately well-off upbringing. There's no two ways about it, I was born into privilege. I also want to be an active participant in improving fairness, humanity and justice.
But sometimes I fear that my privilege sullies my actions. As if my ability to protest an injustice that doesn't directly threaten me is just another way of exercising my privilege, and thereby further entrenches me in it. Or that my embracing of a movement that isn't about me is some perverse form of colonialism (gentrification?).
I'm aware of SURJ, and I know I should "be an accomplice, but don't make it about yourself", but how do I do it with good conscience? In what ways can I use my good fortune for good?
Final note: I wrote this question down and then decided to think about how I would answer it to myself. The best answer I could think of is "Stop being so dramatic and just do something already!" Maybe I should follow my own advice.
