Have you ever taken a proper IQ test administered by a professional? I took the WAIS at 19 and scored 128 full scale IQ. I usually score 10 - 20 points higher on these BS online tests without practicing, so I question if they're properly normalized. And I could probably get much better at them if I had any interest in stroking my ego this way.
I don't see any reason to think this one is accurately reporting your mental ability.

the test has visibly high reliability ratings, the scores follow a bell curve, and the iq ratings are meant to correlate with standardized tests as much as possible. it isn't that i made gains of 2 standard deviations over time, because i've also gotten scores ~100 in this time period. every test presents a certain set of problems that require you to think like the test taker.
the scores of 100 and 160 are equally valid if the tests are both with statistical backing. this is because no test is able to comprehensively assess intelligence, and every question probes for different unspecified neural connections. if your brain is attuned in one abstract way but not another, it can explain individual differences in problem solving ability. though considering every test i've taken, the average is more around 130. if my range is 100 to 160, i average around 130 or slightly lower due to any possible practice effect.
the thread wasn't so much to brag that my IQ is objectively 166, it's more like one facet of my thinking is in the exceptionally gifted range, which strokes my ego. other facets maybe not so much. i was in gifted placement after IQ test around 7, went to schools for gifted kids, I did take the stanford binet at 14 and the score was 100, but a professional agreed that the results were wrong. this makes sense and isnt just an ego defense because many subtests were missing, had nonsensical scores (it said my arithmetic ability and working memory are 40 when i can do both just fine) and was unprofessional in other ways. it was a sped school test so i think they just wanted me to seem appropriate for their services.
why don't you take it to see if the score you receive is inflated/deflated relative to your WAIS score? that could actually be a valuable data point.
the truth is, even in the most professional forms IQ testing is a very inexact science.
