2017-01-08 at 3:14 PM UTCBengal cats are cool af, they're like normal cats except bigger and act like dogs but still don't smell and shit literally everywhere. I would get one but right now my living situation is too small for a cat and I'm always gone at school all day and shit. Maybe after summer I can move somewhere with roommates and get a bengal cat.

Thank you. Bengals are awesome. They talk and are really vocal expressive cats, you can actually understand them
Savannahs are really cool too and pretty wild cos they're much closer genetically to the Serval compared to bengals and the err.... I can't remember what bengals are bred from, but they go for thousands and aren't quite as cute. I used to work at a place that bred bengals and Savannahs and they had their own Serval to breed from. That was a fun job, running around with a hose getting a Serval to run after me playing with the water -
2017-01-08 at 5:47 PM UTCPlus watching a big ass Serval try to fuck a regular sized kitty was quite a sight

2017-01-08 at 7:32 PM UTCyeah bengals are cool as hell, this lady down the street got a bengal cat just because I had a cat. The only thing I didn't like was he would bully me while we were tripping, like Id be in bed naked and he'd start biting my toes or he would pounce on my laptop mid song.
And I didn't know they were necessarily "bigger". I guess cause my friend got her bengal when it was still a baby, but he did grow very quickly. -
2017-01-08 at 7:39 PM UTCand by the way green plastic, you should go ahead and get one, I highly doubt your apartment is too small for a cat, I have a super tiny apartment, the smallest I've ever lived in and my current cat and my old one both lived here with me and it was all good.
Cat's are very independent, my friend down the street and I both have cats and work during the day. They will probably just sleep and eat while you're gone. My cat is extremely nocturnal and plays at night.
A dog would be a totally different thing where I'd feel bad being gone all day and not being able to take him out to walk.
You'd be surprised how many people (mainly girls) lock their dogs in a cage all day while they are at work. It's terrible.
Probably the worst thing I do to my cat is put him outside of my room sometimes at night because he starts poking me in the face and smelling me when I'm trying to sleep. But other than that, he usually sleeps on the left side of my bed.
cats are radical
this is my friends bengal when she first got him
and this is my cat archie, a blue tabby, when I first got him

Yea but I heard bengals are different and need more attention or room or something. Also I have pretty severe insomnia at times when I'm sober and can't risk having it wake me up. I'm trying to move sometime though so there's hope. -

2017-01-09 at 12:16 AM UTCI'm a straight, cis, white, male of moderately well-off upbringing. There's no two ways about it, I was born into privilege. I also want to be an active participant in improving fairness, humanity and justice.
But sometimes I fear that my privilege sullies my actions. As if my ability to protest an injustice that doesn't directly threaten me is just another way of exercising my privilege, and thereby further entrenches me in it. Or that my embracing of a movement that isn't about me is some perverse form of colonialism (gentrification?).
I'm aware of SURJ, and I know I should "be an accomplice, but don't make it about yourself", but how do I do it with good conscience? In what ways can I use my good fortune for good?
Final note: I wrote this question down and then decided to think about how I would answer it to myself. The best answer I could think of is "Stop being so dramatic and just do something already!" Maybe I should follow my own advice. -
2017-01-09 at 12:17 AM UTCNice copy pasta. Why do you expect us to troll for you if you can't even be original here
