My point was never that guns are responsible for crime or (as you seem to think) I have to choose between knives and guns. My point was that our rampant gun crime is because we have so many, any idiot can get them, we have very few controls over them, and people justify having them for stupid reasons.
Also, to your (fallacious) point, the reality is that a gang of trained killers with knives are capable of doing way less damage than a single teenager walking into a school with with a gun. -
