your musing on depression have always touched my very soul deeply and it fills my warm with glow that you are still alive and depressed and sharing your experiences. I mean I Wish you FELT better and werent depresed and has motivations. I wish I had the motivation to find and dig up that one post you made similar to this that seemed blessed to me at the time but I can't even remember the structure of it now

i washed a lil bit of dishes today but it was only so the person after me wouldn't have to deal with my breakfast mess
I empathize with your post very much

Yeah my issues I'm sure stem from all sorts of shit that I've never bothered to address and wouldn't hardly know where to begin.

I just learned that new term today (executive dysfunction) and my small amount of research sees that a lot of definitely aligns with how I am. Its a very strange feeling to feel too lazy to *fill a cup of water and drink it* and so just don't it and stay thirsty for now until I absolutely HAVE TO. Thats obviously not normal or good behavior.

I'm just trying to find REASONS instead of excuses. I know at the end of the day JUST DO IT is probably the best advice I can give myself instead of JUST FIND A WAY NOT TO DO IT so I need to figure out how to make that mental switch and its hard to explain why its so difficult.

I'm sure this is akin to how CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS tend to have crazy abstract and jumbled thoughts that they would like to be able to condense or make sense of but they feel literally unable to do so, and pointing it out to them to STOP IT, is utterly meaningless.

I think I might have 'executive dysfunction' or ADHD even maybe. Other than just 'depression' I'm trying to find a logical explanation why I do (or don't do) certain things, for example walking past the same piece of crumpled up empty bag on my floor 1000x in a row instead of taking literally 3 seconds to pick it up and throw it away.

And when I'm at work I'm almost literally the opposite and will keep myself busy with tasks and projects and I actually get bothered when I see a random garbage or something that needs obvious cleaning.

So I don't think it's just pure laziness so much as it's some other fucked up mental thing. I definitely FEEL lazy when I leave some dishes sitting there for weeks, but I know in my loins I'm not lazy.

Even if I'm visiting friends who have some dishes or their cat litter needs changing I notice it and am like 'oh here let me help you with that it's all good' and I will have no problem doing chores and I actually in a weird way WANT to, and then I'm sitting there wondering why the fuck can't i do these for myself so easily.

    It's weird m8s. It's weird.

Ok. I'm sorry. I thought they could be correct about some things and incorrect about others. I did not know that they are never correct. FORGIVE ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED.

That's fair, but it's also unfair to dismiss any and all scientific findings as wrong because the scientist gets paid from a source you don't like. If the BBC reported last week's temperatures, like CustomWeather did in the post I made up there that you didn't respond to, you're gonna say that those temps are wrong and it's bullshit? Those are fake temperatures I posted up there? Paid for by lobbyists and just want you to THINK the high temp in Fargo over the last few weeks was 97Β°?

Lol ok that answers that. Thank you.

    Is this acceptable?
  11. mmQ Lisa Turtle
Okie dokie. That seems a little too convenient for me. Can you even just tell me a couple of examples of sources you trust so I have a clue of what you're talking about.

Does an independent source exist to you?
  13. mmQ Lisa Turtle
We know the Bible is one of them. What else will you accept?

You should make a comprehensive list of sources that you personally find credible so we know what's acceptable to you, instead of you waiting for a source and then saying that it isnt acceptable to you. That's way too convenient lol.

That might have been the incentive I needed. I stopped that day and never had the desire to drink again. Prior to that I never thought I'd be able to quit, I'd be driving home from work thinking about that first frosty brew…exwife #2 had instructions to have my 1 liter glass chilled in the freezer and I'd call her when I was 1 min away from home to pour it so when I walked in, there it was ready…which I'd then chug it down in 1 or 2 goes before retiring to the shower and telling her to have another ready for when my shower was over.

So "it's not difficult to give up. I gave it up in 1 day after years of abuse' meant 'its not difficult to give up if you just have a medical emergency and your doc tells you you'll die if you do drink again.' Lol you made it sound like you were just bored of it and quit cold turkey.

Hmm. From what I see it looks like they're self-insured or just 'eat their losses.' People tend to say a few different things though. I can't find much on them actually having an insurance company that would pay them billions of dollars a year in theft loss.
