I took the boat to Ginger Island and man that shit's weird. I made it through the volcano and everything, I'm collecting Golden Walnuts, but man... I've got a kid at home and I feel so guilty sleeping on the island. I have to throw my baby in the air at least once a day or he'll start to hate me. Not to mention my livestock! I've gotta pet them on their heads or they'll start shitting out low quality milk and eggs. We can't have that now, can we?
Even if I get the farm on Ginger Island up and running, I'm not sure I'd ever sleep there or use it considering all of the above. Nevertheless. I will keep collecting Golden Walnuts when I find the time. It's just one more strain on the limited hours I have each day to do farmwork. *sigh*

I don't make friends, I make acquaintances. All my motives are ulterior. My soul is terrifying.
I mean I could go down into the mines and dig every patch of tillable dirt I find and maybe get 20 clay a day, but I'd have to do that every day for an entire season to get 500 clay. *sigh*
Ideally I think I'd plant Fiber Seeds on Fall 28 and harvest them on Spring 1, but getting that many fiber seeds will be an ordeal. Even if I buy 500 mixed seeds from my man Krobus who lives in the sewers, I'd still need 500 clay and 2500 sap. I could plant a bunch of mahogany trees up by the railroad and tap them to help with the sap, but getting 500 clay every year by Fall 28 just isn't feasible. If it's even possible, it doesn't sound like it'd be anything approaching fun.
I'm gonna make like G300,000 from selling Starfruit Wine this season. I don't even know what to do with all that money. My biggest problem these days is going to be getting my farm up and running on Spring 1, Year 3 (and every subsequent year, I suppose) - there simply isn't enough time to till, fertilize, water, and plant the seeds for ~500 tiles worth of crops in a single day. Apparently if I till it out and plant a bunch of winter crops and leave them to die as spring rolls around (kind of video gamey regenerative agriculture ig) the tiles will remain tilled on Spring 1 and my sprinklers will have already watered everything, and I'll only have to scythe down a bunch of dead plants before I start fertilizing and planting... but getting ~500 tiles worth of seeds I can plant in the winter is a big ask, even if the raccoon's wife is willing to sell me Powdermelon Seeds for 2 pinecones each. I decided to try growing the powdermelons out of season in my greenhouse on Fall 1 so I could use a seed maker on the harvest and hopefully wind up with ~500 seeds to plant by Winter 27, but I'm not hopeful.
