that's part of the reason why they cut me off, I haven't had ID in over a decade. Even my bank doesn't want to service me anymore, I had to get a manager to personally approve a thing for me today just a simple bank thing that shouldn't require so much

The system is broken and homeless folx die every year here, we have a church memorial dedicated to the "Unknown Homeless" that die without any documentation and no medical records either

lithium cells don't output a constant voltage; when almost dead they output 2.4v, if you deplete them any further an unprotected cell will die permanently. nominal output is 3.7v and when fully charged they output 4.2v, keep pumping power in after that and you risk fucking it up and/or starting a fire
I found an old USB power bank though so I'll probably just pull the charging circuit out of that
