2022-08-03 at 5 PM UTC in My girlfriend's check engine light came on so she took the Subaru.Tried the old "on - off - on - off" trick a dozen times and that didn't do it.
Unhooked the battery and made sure to drain any residual juice this time.
Checked all the fluids except the transmission fluid because I couldn't find the dip stick.
Everything looks good so I have no qualms about driving it to the auto store. -

My girlfriend DOES NOT want to restring my fishing pole.
Her new used car wouldn't start when she went to leave work and she sent me a fucking video message stating "I should have never listened to you".
Which really set me off because she actually didn't listen to me to begin with and that is the whole fucking reason she has a different car now.
To make matters worse, instead of having me come fix it she got a coworker to get it started (to whom I am grateful) but she totally panicked about it and called a MECHANIC and schedule to have an inspection done for "peace of mind".
I got home tonight and tightened the battery terminal connection which was actually tight but was loose to the battery because of a small spacer which my best guess is something that someone forgot to remove whenever it was replaced.
It's one of those fucking things that you get with a new part that you're suppose to remove before use and someone had forgotten one.
Anyways, it took me 5 minutes in the dark to do but now she is terrified that her whole car is a disastrous mistake which is whatever because that's how she felt about the other car she got rid of that wasn't broken either.
But the fact she actually called and made an appointment with a mechanic over such a minor little issue left me very frustrated and upset that I was scolded and not even consulted with.
Her car is by far one of the cleanest and has the most friendly looking engine bay I have seen in a long time. I would love nothing more than to have a reason to work on her car but I looked at it a decent bit and nothing is broke. It's super fucking clean and looks fantastic.
I can't fix something not broken. -

For me a real man is an honest person, someone who doesn’t steal or con people. Not consumed by video games. Not violent towards women. They don’t have to be rich but they do have to be working and trying to improve their life. Strength of character (important for everyone so they can’t be swayed). Polishes their shoes. Dyes their hair when it turns grey unless they’re past 60. Doesn’t look down on people. Stands by their principles. Pays the child support. Better if they like playing with children. Holds the door open. I don’t expect them to relate to women but respect is a must. Better if friendly but I know some people are socially awkward. Doesn’t try to control their partner’s finances, that means a joint bank account if only one is working, not an allowance. Not a pessimist always complaining about life, neutral is fine.

If the fucking crock pot was acting wack or the mop was not being moppy enough I would go ask a woman "WTF is it broke"?
Women do this, that and some more and all of those things are theirs to handle and manage however they wish.
Men do other this and other that and some other more different stuff that is all theirs to handle and manage however they want.
Now I'm not going to get upset if my girlfriend wants to restring my fishing pole for me and surprise me with it but I am going to be pretty damn mad if she hires some fuck nut to pimp my ugly stick. -

The guy wanted to do more than I requested so I just left.
Went and got an oil change done.
Came home and called the insurance company to put coverage on the Caliber.
Laid down for a nap thinking I could achieve two hours of sleep maybe and was listening to a documentary on the "horrors" of the holocaust as those types of things usually allow me to relax and dose off.
Didn't sleep even for a minute though and got back out of bed at noon.
At least I wasn't up running around burning off excess energy seeing as how today looks like it will last 19 or 20 hours.
The incident with preschool this morning went so horrible that my girlfriend has been calling around looking for somewhere else and the only lead she has will be 100% out of pocket.
The kid's dad is not going to pay for anything as he can't even afford a happy meal for his daughter on pay day.
It is what it is though and all I want is for my girlfriend to find child care that fits her needs and her kid's needs.
In other news I'm practically broke having not gotten a paycheck last week and am going to have to be smart with my money until payday comes.
Even when I get paid we will both have to be smart with our money seeing as how we are going on vacation on the 20th.
Hopefully my new credit card shows up this week. -

I slept pretty decent last night but totally forgot to unfuck my schedule for the work week.
Woke up at 6am and saw my girlfriend and the kid off to work and 1st day of preschool.
Everything really quickly went to shit as the preschool apparently was quite unprofessional and ill prepared.
My girlfriend called me crying she was so upset.
Meanwhile I was at home waiting on my friend to show up but he must have been tired after work and I never heard from him.
I checked the oil in the Subaru and it was still low so I dumped in another half quart and drove to the ATM to get out some money.
I have an hour to kill now before more running around.
Tried paying a bill but it's not ready to be paid yet.
Going to drink this coffee and call the insurance company. -

Before my girlfriend told me she wanted to take her car back to Carmax I planned on driving the Subaru and fixing the other car myself as I would have more time and wouldn't feel rushed to get it done in a hurry. -

Last night at work we got so far ahead that I am not anticipating a busy day.
Woke up this morning and checked car listings but nothing caught my eye.
Paid off my credit card from shopping over the weekend.
Washing some laundry and doing dishes.
Waiting on Amazon to deliver more engine oil for my car.
Might swing by a car lot that I heard may have a Lancer for sale.
I need to do a little work on the computer this morning but literally less than 5 minutes.
Probably going to get all the trash gathered up so that if I find something better to do tomorrow I won't have to do that.
The weather today is suppose to be cool and rainy which I'm looking forward too because the last week and change has been hot and miserable.
Anyone got any plans for today?

After my last post things just sort of became exhausting both physically and mentally.
I remember we took a stroll over to Dollar General for some Mountain Dews and motor oil.
Then picked up a combination of Thai Food and Taco Bell.
The kid was having a rough time communicating and behaving for a decent chunk of the weekend.
She gets shot down asking mom and has been asking me expecting a different answer.
A lot of screaming in vain.
She starts preschool in a week and hopefully being around more kids her age in a focused learning environment will help.
But Sunday we woke up and went to the park.
Had a really nice lunch at a bar I had never been to.
And then later that afternoon once we all had a nap I drove her to her dad's.
Once home my girlfriend cooked an amazing dinner while I got cleaned up for work the next day.
We went to bed early and I woke up at 11:30 at night to play some video games and finish enrolling in all the insurance and retirement stuff for work. -
