About to head off to work. Hoping to start an hour early today. I feel like I got a few things done at home but none of it is worth sharing about. Hope you all have a great afternoon.
Good morning. Yesterday was a really good Monday considering it was Monday. Work went by without a hitch. Woke up at 10:35 today (second day in a row). I'm liking waking up at 10:35 and I think I'll set the alarm for that time. It's not too early and not too late. Messaged a few people about cars but no one has responded yet. My plan is to go into work early again today unless something better comes up. Hope everyone is doing well.
Good morning everyone. I had a really nice weekend. Nothing grand or spectacular happened but it was good just spending time with people in my life and enjoying not being at work. Took it easy and relaxed a good bit too. This week I'll be going into work early everyday trying to amass some OT as this is my last week of being on as a temp and after I get paid for this week I'll be switching to every 2 weeks. I have nothing to complain about today. Going to hit up the post office on my way into work today. That's my plan.
Anyone got anything interesting going on or some stories to tell of their weekend?
Asking price is $2750 which is roughly $1k less than KBB has it for.
2008 Subaru Impreza. 175k miles Pretty sure they all have a 2.5L boxer engine. Seller says that there is a ding in one of the doors, the AC does not work and it start to shake around 80mph due to a bent rim.
I wasn't planning on buying a car tomorrow but I don't usually plan anything so... Anyways, as of now I am planning on buying it unless anyone objects and gives reason.
I received the wrong sized part and quickly found when I click on 1/2 x 3/8 size that the store page then shows 1/2 to 1/4 size and vise versa.
When I tried ordering 1/2 x3/8 size I received 1/2 x 1/4.
Fuck my life.
Took me 40 minutes to explain to a computer illiterate Indian woman who never fully understood. I told her to pass what I told her along to the IT department and was told "sir, we do not have an IT department".
Managed to sweep the downstairs of the house. Got the dishes pretty much done. Laundry is folded and put away. Parts for the bathroom faucet are out for delivery (whatever that means). Just got invited to a cook out this weekend. Trying to think what to get my niece for her birthday (she will be 6 or 7). Looked up replacing my oil drain pan again and came to the conclusion once again that I don't really feel like taking that on. I need to call a mechanic because for all I know it might be leaking elsewhere. Anyways, just trying to murder my day away.
Good morning. Woke up to my alarm today and I actually got out of bed. I mean sure I dicked around on Facebook for half an hour first but I woke up and stayed woke up. Suppose to be a fairly rainy day and that's okay. My plan was to get the bathroom faucet installed before work but I just checked the tracking number and it's not even out for delivery yet. Before work today I know I really need to stop and get gas. I made it home last night on nothing but fumes as I couldn't be bothered to stop and pump it after having already wasted all dang day at work. Anyways, I'm not really sure what all I'll do before work today. Right now I'm drinking my coffee. How is everyone here doing?
I put in my application for full time employment at work. I gave them exactly the same information I gave the temp agency I am currently working through. Under employment history I only went back my last 2 jobs. If they demand more than that I'll have to come up with more but anything before that is really blurry and the dates of employment are more of guesses than anything and I honestly don't even remember the names of some of the factories I was at. No one goes home on a weekend and thinks about work. And no one quits their job and keeps thinking about it. So time took a lot of that information away from me. Also, I didn't do a whole lot for a couple years other than under the table construction jobs which I have no evidence or tax records for. Hope they don't make this shit hard. When I was looking for work earlier this year one place demanded I give them 10 years of employment history after half assing my original application and so I sat there and made a bunch of guesses. After a day they called me to say "everything checks out" and I was stunned. Several businesses I worked for are no longer even in business so what the hell did they even check?
Activated my new credit card. Cleaned up cat puke and swept the basement. Gathered up the trash only to realize it probably will go a day late this week. Emptied the dishwasher out. Got ready for work. Tried paying some bills but they haven't been posted yet. I have 45 minutes until I leave for work and I'm drinking a 2nd cup of coffee before I do any more. Mostly my morning has been easy and uneventful. Work today might suck and there's a possibility I will be late getting home but I hope not.
Good morning gonts. I'm not planning on working extra this week as I won't make OT anyways. Last 4 day week we had I worked extra anyways but I'm too close to getting a nice raise in pay to care to kill myself for straight time. It has been raining here all morning so I went to the basement thinking today would be a good day to pinpoint where the water leaks into the basement but when I came down here everything was bone dry. Last night I ordered everything I needed to fix the bathroom faucet on Amazon because I'm sick and tired of wasting gas and making multiple trips to the hardware store. Hopefully the parts will show up tomorrow well before I leave for work and I'll be able to get that crossed off my to do list. This morning I'm going to pay some bills and just dilly dally around the house taking it easy. Hope everyone is having a great day.
Last night I downloaded Road Redemption and had a good time playing it. You drive around on motorcycles and hack off cops heads with swords, shoot them with guns and throw bombs at them while they chase you.
But the multiplayer was lacking so very hard. Each map took maybe 2 minutes to finish and there just wasn't enough content. Great concept, poorly executed.
Tonight I am downloading BeamNG to try.
I am looking forward to the physics and realism.
Was honestly trying to find a good combat racing game though.
Sleep eluded me last night. A couple hours at the very most but I've pretty much been awake for the last 8 hours and now the sun is coming up and I have to start my day. We will be trekking to the grocery store in search of elusive ‪tiramisu. Then my girlfriend wants to get her nails done during which time I will wander off to do random Fona stuff. Afterwards we will head home and put everything away. Maybe we will go test drive more cars today... At some point I'd like to start returning some of the unused things from my last several trips to the hardware store. It's suppose to be hot today but not dreadfully so and if I'm going to do much outside this weekend I might try and tackle some of that. But this all depends on how much coffee I am able to drink to stay awake. Anyways, How are you this morning? Do you have any plans for today?
My girlfriend wants a new whip. Went to Carmax today and test drove a Subaru Cross Trek and a Toyota Rav 4. The Subaru had much better quality and feel than the overwhelmingly cheap looking Rav 4. Id like to have her test drive a Volvo XC60 and a Mitsubishi Outlander. Im trying to compile a list of smaller SUVs that fit her needs and are reliable.
Also, Carvana seems to have better deals than carmax.
For shits and giggles I created an account to see what I could afford but Ive already made the decision to stick with what I've got versus a car payment but my end goal is to have a decent car we can fit sone stuff in and a little car for my little commute and got no where to go needs.
Any recommendations on an SUV for my girlfriend to try? Right now she us in a 2018 GMC Acadia and it is too big for our needs.
