I gathered from his telling of the story that he tried to enter the bathroom in an absolutely normal fashion, but the individual inside had not properly secured the locking mechanism as would be expected.
It reminds me of this time, back when I was living the #VanLife, and sought out a Tim Hortons one morning near the place I had camped the night prior, and the bathroom lock was broken.
This dude opened the door... I apologized to him and tried to explain the lock was broken, all while finishing my piss... But he wasn't hearing it and took off.
A few minutes later this same dude came back, walked into the bathroom as I was leaving it, and loudly exclaimed an expression of surprise as he found himself unable to lock the door.

I mean, I do plan on paying all my debt off. I'm close to the 100k mark (mostly student loans, but also divided into various other debts consolidated into one).
I do take personal responsibility for the role I played in accumulated such debt, but life really isn't as simple as a lot of people characterize it to be.
In an ideal world:
1. Creditors would not be as predatory as they are.
2. People who hit hard times would be allowed a certain amount of leeway rather than be carpet bombed withpoverty tax"NSF fees" and such.
3. People who are ready and willing to work but can't find employment because the job market is the least efficient market conceivable wouldn't incur punitive costs for a broken system.
4. People who are doing well in life would not flippantly say things like "debt is a choice" to those who are not.

And stress, for me, is DRINK FUEL. So, naturally, I'm getting drunker and drunker.
Like, suddenly I discover I have the house all to myself for like 10 minutes so I start jerking off, then somebody opens the front door and interupts me mid-self-coitus, and I'm so mad I just turn to the damn bottle.
Then I run out of said bottle.
Then I call skip the dishes for some liquor delivery and as I go outside to retrieve my liquor, I run into my sister.
I ask her why she's here (she doesn't live here - got her own place) and she says it's her girlfriend's birthday and they're both (among others) coming over.
And then she has the audacity to tell me to put some pants on.
Like, WTF, don't slut shame me bitch.
I mean, I love my sister, and I actually really like her girlfriend too. I get along with both of them well.
But I'm absolutely sick of people telling me what to do, what to wear, etc.

They do bars like everyone else for the most part.
And being hit on more can be kinda confidence-boosting.
Even if you're like a 7-8 out of ten looking dude, going to a "regular" bar means you are just another person in a place full of other people.

I feel like there are a lot of potential warning signs that could be unpacked here and delved into in depth, but at the end of the day, a well-drafted list of pros vs cons will ultimately have very little influence on how you end up proceeding.
I've had my share of unhinged broads in my life, and no amount of logic or reason can intervene once the psychological id makes up its decision. All I can really recommend is try to keep your wits about you as best you can.
One recent woman I was involved with, for example, strategically asked me immediately following an hour long sex session to help her kill a dude. Even in such a moment of weakness, I still had certain uncrossable limits. We ultimately compromised, however, and I ended up driving her to the house so she could fire a few warning shots in the area surrounding her target's house.
Her tactical thottery was effective. At the end of the day, I still did something I never would have otherwise done had I not met her.
But the whole thing was one long learning experience. You involve yourself with a few chicks like this and you gradually build up a tolerance. If you filter out all the conspiracy theory buzzwords and focus on the underlying idea that technology can be incredibly dangerous and pose serious existential threat to humanity - especially technology pertaining to emulating human cognitive processes, and also achieving interactions between machines and human brains - we all really should be scared.
I'm not saying we need to take on any kind of Neo-Ludditism or anything like that.
