If he can find true love, it sets aspark an endless realm of possibilities for the rest of us.

I will be his (second-in-command) knight of defense against all pessimism and cynicism with regards to love.

True romantics like us will keep love alive.

Legit, my homeboy Zanick is heart broken, and I can't stand idly by to see a fellow space-nigga endure such atrocities.

Whatever unspeakable thing this Karen has done, I stand before the courts, nay, kneel before the courts, and sing my praises for Zanick and his plight.

Release Karen from the stranglehold she is unjustly wrapped up in.

We must make this romance right. If you stand idly by without contributing your words of encouragement, much less your voting power in a (at least quasi) democratic NIS, then forshame.

Zanick is one of us, and true members of the NIS elite will not stand idly by as he is left hearbroken and uncomfortable.

Spice Girls sound alright, at least the latter part - but regarding the first, are we talking synthetic marijuana or food flavoring?

Fair enough, but it's still a pretentious thing to say.

Most people are constantly stimulating their minds, and perhaps some more than others.

But those of us who are going above and beyond the average tend not to gloat in that fact.

    She seems nice and kind.

Truly kind people don't need to be attractive just to get some basic respect.

Ok, there are two different things at play here:

    1. A psychological conscience.
    2. Morality.

A psychological conscience is the result of millions of years of evolution. Altruism has evolved in humans in order to create cohesive bonds built on reciprocative acts of goodness.

Now, when it comes to an objective source of morality, that is a much thornier issue.

One could argue that whatever nature gave us as a moral compass (i.e. a psychological conscience) should define morality, and that's that.

But of course, centuries of debate have arose surrounding such definitions of objective morality, or even if there can ever be such a thing.

I might try to take up programming to fund my degree if I can find the time or the discipline, assuming it's still viable by that time for someone outside the field to get in on merit. Everybody has a different path, and I guess it makes sense for a lot of people to go to school with the expectation of a related career, but I doubt we've ever been that sort of people.

Philosophy is an absolute blast. If I ever do end up going back and going to grad school, it will likely be in a philosophy field, probably philosophy of mind.

Or maybe something along the lines of Heidegger's work. I took a class focusing on Heidegger's Being and Time and holy fuck did that course ever fuck me up.

And bruh, if you ever want any advice on how to effectively teach yourself to program, come to me. I learned so much through sheer trial and error.

My first bit of advice that I always give anyone setting out to learn programming themselves, is start with Python. It is as close to executable pseudocode as you can get, and yet it has all the bells and whistles.

That being said, another very useful learning technique is to do the complete opposite (as well as, not instead of, the above), and to play around in assembly / machine language. It really forces you to understand how all the higher-level programming languages (like Python) are ultimately translated into hardware-understandable code.

I once knew a (Indian, obviously) cab driver that carried mace for protection.

He will always be my Mace Hindu.

Holy fuck I wonder that all the time.

I kinda want to travel back in time and blow a huge hit of crack smoke into my 10 year old self and be like "get cool like me." :sunglasses:

But for real, to be honest, I don't so much regret the drugs, I guess I just regret the fact that I made them so central to my life.

If I could go back in time, I wouldn't so much warn myself about drugs per se, but more about the general need to consider the future whenever making potentially life-altering decisions. Sure, experiment a bit, but expand your horizons onto other things to.

    Or something of that nature.

Man, if there is one thing about drugs and drug culture that just annoys the shit out of me, it's the 'drug-supremacists'.

I, too, get dysphoric and paranoid from weed. It is an incredibly unpleasant experience for me.

But all the drug plebs are like "weed just like, chills you out man. just take a toke and stop acting like it's a Real Drug TM, unlike all those chemicals you put in your body."

Fuck, for a bunch that claim to be so enlightened (because somehow weed makes you smarter than everyone else), they are pretty damn ignorant when it comes to the fact that different people react differently to different psychoactive compounds.

In addition to not wanting to meet boys in back streets, I'm not too keen on meeting them at pet shops either.

So again, I'll go with the band on this one.
