99% of the time that would be utterly hilarious, but it was brutally inappropriate here.

Dear apt,
I have no idea who you are, nor am I going to pretend I know what you're going through. I know what it's like to be suicidal, and empty platitudes do more harm than good.
What I will suggest, though, is that you absolutely ensure that you have tried every last alternative before you take the final plunge.
If you take an open-minded enough approach, you can find pleasures in life that might once have been entirely alien.
Meaning is constructed on an individual, as well as a day-to-day, basis. While life might seem meaningless today, that doesn't mean it will tomorrow.
Again, I'm not going to try to pretend I know your whole story. You very well may have the world's best justification for ending it all, and you are (I presume, and certainly hope) an adult, and thus allowed to make your own decisions, even regarding such things as whether to carry on living or not, but try taking a one-day-at-a-time approach. Try something different every single day. Make that a goal. It might just motivate you long enough to die of natural causes rather than self-inflicted injuries.
