IIRC one popular method may have been registering a corporation in Belize or somewhere. Anyway, I think at the very least it was a method to avoid taxes on any ROI.

The overwhelming majority of the real world really is terrible. -

I wouldn't put money into something I won't be able to touch that long. There's going to be radical change, who knows what will happen. That aside, you could miss great investment opportunities, things you want to do in your life.
