Lanny, have you ever seen Everclear sold in a store around here? I think I may just get a flask for when I want to spike my drink when out.

I've got a hankering for the $5 cravings deal from Taco Bell. I didn't know they still had it because it's no longer on the website or app, it's an insane value at 1500+ calories. You get all this:

    Burrito Supreme: $3.19
    Cheesy Gordita Crunch: $2.99
    Crunchy Taco: $1.39
    Chips w/ Nacho Cheese: $1.39
Medium Soda: $1.89 ($1.00 during happier hour)
    Total: $10.85 plus tax
Price of all items in new box deal: $5.00 plus tax

Planning to waltz in there at 4:20

My local bevmo always has it in stock. Spiking drinks is dumb though, especially if you're just out and about on your own time. Get a flask and some decent bourbon.

Hard liquor tastes bad by itself and it's too harsh.
  9. Drink it enough and you get used to it

It's an acquired taste, just like wine, and one worth acquiring since straight liquor is a much better drunk/hangover experience than pouring everclear into a cup of cola or something.

Also forgot I had investment income, so uncle sam got to fuck me on that too. Any of yall have opinions on roth iras? It'd be nice to dodge a little tax on earnings but not being able to touch it until I'm 60 is pretty gay, maybe I've just been reading too many reject posts but I'm not wholly convinced I'm going to live that long.
  12. You can always invest your money in me and I "promise" not to touch it til you're 60

I wouldn't put money into something I won't be able to touch that long. There's going to be radical change, who knows what will happen. That aside, you could miss great investment opportunities, things you want to do in your life.

Have you thought about opening an overseas account?
  15. Roth IRAs are a great idea if you can afford to contribute towards it. But if you aren't comfortable with essentially tossing your money into a black box for the next 35 years think about doing a standard IRA, which offers more flexibility.

Drinking for the first time in 2017. My former chronic alcoholism only feels justified when I'm drinking. Cheers brahs.

I think I still have a new zealand bank account that I haven't touched in a decade. What's the point? All my income is reported to the IRS so it's not like I can hide anything but stashing it in an offshore account.

What's the advantage of an IRA over bumping 401k contributions? Can you withdraw from a standard IRA before retirement?

No, wait...it was a while ago, but I'm not sure I was if I was researching tax dodging or flat out money laundering. IIRC one popular method may have been registering a corporation in Belize or somewhere. Anyway, I think at the very least it was a method to avoid taxes on any ROI.

  20. I haven't really ever been employed by anyone else so I have no experience whatsoever with 401Ks but I believe depending on your provider, the regular IRA will have options to withdraw some money without paying the 10% penalty fee because of looser regulations than Roths.

However I would honestly 100% recommend actually walking down to a Vanguard or something and actually talk to someone about it, I think
