  7. I've had this happen one time, when I stopped taking wellbutrin. I felt on top of the world for three days. Didn't need to sleep, hardly needed to eat, super productive at work, awesome mood etc

Then came the crash. Holy fucking fuck. I got so depressed I couldn't hardly move other than to go to the liquor store

And then I got blackout drunk on gem clear 190 and wrote THE thread. You know which one I'm talking about.

While expanding the farm a trog made it through the pipes. I'm gonna give two of the hookers copper swords and send them to kill this thing.

One of the hookers didn't even bother to grab a sword and now the trog is cornered in the farm. Time for an ass whooping.

    STOP STOP HE'S ALREADY DEAD

I think he learned his lesson about coming into our fort

The trog is unconcious in a pool of its own blood and vomit, I think I'm just gonna leave it here.

Winter is almost over and fuck all has happened. NO MIGRANTS!

lol. You're using a preference for a first person shooter game to try to justify why you are more intelligent than others. Does rainbow 6 really require THAT much intelligence to play? I doubt it. If you're really so intelligent why don't you go make your own damn game instead of coming on the internet and trying to turn every opinion you hold into a reason why you are somehow better than everyone else. Tbh you sound kind of insecure.

Are you suggesting that by switching schools the workload towards an engineering degree would be less? Cause I figure regardless what school It would probably be about the same.

Or are you wanting to go to a different school where they have a completely different program that has nothing to do with engineering?

I dunno how long you got on finishing your engineering stuff but It might be worth it to stick it out even if you are "mid-level"
You seem like you're in good shape and after you're done with school you will have more time freed up for physical fitness.

My dad was a manager of a design team for AMD for 25 years and then even got his own subcontract company out of it, and he would hire people that went to certain schools in california (not sure what schools)
But as far as Texan school, he would only hire people from UT austin and Rice in Houston. (jerome goes to rice, its one of the best engineering schools)
So I just wouldn't want you to sell yourself short if engineering is your thing.

My dad and his co-workers all were really successful and had their shit together but seemed like they still had time to do fun stuff after they landed that job.

I wish I could of been an engineer but I am smacktarded at math, like seriously.

The school I'm at now has a pace that's like twice as fast as most schools. It's like Rice level I guess. I still want to learn all the same shit, just not really at a place that's so geared towards competitiveness that I have to spend literally all of my time in order to keep up with my peers.

I remember Lanny made a thread once about how people in computer science view it as more of an obsession than anything else. It's pretty much true, at least where I'm at. I don't really feel it's healthy or productive to living a good life. It's an obsession with either ego, money, pleasing your parents, or something else. It's like yea..I can make myself obsessed with that and do well, but what's the point if I don't have time for anything else?

  17. Originally posted by Malice I completely understand why some people die in their sleep from combining alcohol and benzos just to try to get some rest. I recall that it happened to one of the founding members of Ceretropic on r/nootropics, despite being highly intelligent and designing multiple drugs.

Nearly polished off the 1.75 liters of 40% brandy I had left, homemade pina colada with Crush sugar free pineapple mix and ice in a blender, makes it easy to get down since I don't like the taste of hard liquor. I want to order some benzos with 2-3 day shipping, if possible. I'd honestly double my risk of dementia rather than deal with this until part of my amygdala is severed.

Literally a deficit in the GABAergic pathway, alcohol being a positive allosteric modulator of the receptors, so it takes far more to have the same effects as a normie. Muscles lock up without it, mind is unable to function. Tolerance ramps up quickly. I could probably drink any of you under the table without really trying. Same thing occurred with etizolam, I could eat it like candy without the usual problems normal people experience.

You can drink all that without blacking out?

  19. I always have this tendency to get myself in over my head. Like when I joined the military, I didn't just join the military, I had to go and join the "most hardcore" branch there is, where "most hardcore" really just translates to "gets treated more like shit than any other branch on a regular basis and don't have time for anything else."

After I got out, community college was fucking easy (for real not trying to brag, but I'm fairly intelligent, at least in the sense that I can hear a math or science lesson and figure out how to solve the problems they give us) so I figured fuck it I'm going to go to a top 10 university. But now I'm here and it's alright but I'm definitely not the smartest person in the room now, I'm like mid-level, and I can do everything required of me but it just takes up ALL my time and I kind of feel like there's little point in prestige. I like engineering but there are other things I'd like to do with my time too, like be fairly in shape instead of just sitting down for 12 hours a day and feeling my body waste away. I'm not really too concerned with getting a job at Apple or Google or anything, so it's just starting to feel pointless to me to give up more years of my life in order to compete with people who are all trying to be the top tier of new hires for all the best tech companies.

I think I'd rather study for like 4-6 hours a day, go work out, then get high and listen to j pop or do yoga or go for a bike ride. Then again maybe I could just take an elective or something instead of going hard on all engineering and math classes 24/7. It's just such a drag sometimes.
