    Next time they call, write down the name of who you talk to, the time you talk to them, and of course the date. Call back and say you want to cancel because Bob called you at Bob o' clock yesterday and peddled aggressively. Push to cancel until they give you a discount. That's the only way to do it with these people. When I had Comcast my wife would threaten them every 6 months with cancellation so that we could retain our price. When they stopped doing it we left.

    In a lot of those lower class schools you can just slide by pretty easily since a good fifth or more of your class isn't graduating anyway. They care more about having people graduate and looking good to the district than they do about the individual's education. I was raised poor and by a single mother, but she worked three jobs (count them, three) to be able to pay for me to go to private school. Now I pay her rent and give her a stipend so that she got the chance to retire at 60.

Her mom, who seems to actually have her shit together, will probably help her out with a 5k or 10k car. Maybe she'll give her an old car of hers. Probably won't be older than five years like the no doubt 2017 or older car you'll get for her all the way in the 2030's.
