   lol. i said that specifically to get on your nerves lanny. i actually could give a fuck about the money other than the security it brings. its mainly for personal reasons. i dont have a specific interest or obsession with science, but i do like learning things and i think its cool to learn about science. theres nothing else to do with life anyways.
   
   like, if i dont go to school, im just gonna sti around and be a deadbeat, you know? its not like im abandoning a dream careeer or something for the money

   Probably because most mature adults have found better things to do than whine about it, and that life's worth living anyway. At least that's why people can be comfortable with it, but there's a lot of more rigorous answers as well (the french existentialists in particular, making their careers in the wake of WWII, have a lot to say about being content in a world with a lot of problems, most of them worse than what a 21st century american is ever going to face).

   yea, i mean, i understand that but for example (this is just the first thing that popped in my head), if i tell someone about operation northwoods, they just dont believe it and refuse to even look it up themselves. or like, the other day i saw a dude with an imac with a "love" sticker on it. it pissed me off because hella chinese people are working like slaves and killing themselves to bring you that and you dont even acknowledge it because it doesnt fit with your yuppie image of the world. are we all just content with living with our head in the sands or what?
   
   and as for the intelligence part, i was sort of joking. intelligence is subjective as fuck and just because you are extremely intelligent in one area doesnt mean you will be in another. ive met engineers who are dumb as a rock, but can do their job.
   
   but i do get better grades in school than most everyone else with relatively little effort, and imo grades are definitely a measure of either intelligence, or your ability to fit in with society/work productively. i dont think im super smart or anything, sometimes i actually think i am retarded.

   anyone here still have teen angst a decade too late? i do and get pissed off at shit usually but it seems like legit anger to me. i think people just give up on their lives as they are in their 20s. like why is it ok that we live in a country where corruption is ok, and meaningless war is ok? asking these questions makes you immature and full of teen angst.

    I don't believe in or believe i've ever cheated because I've never gone through a religious ceremony/ legal event where a contract was agreed upon where having sex with someone else would be a sin/cheating.
    
    I hangout and have sex with girls that want to have sex with me.. if they don't then thats that..
    
    I've seen girls for months/days at a time and have seen other girls because my needs weren't being fulfilled. I've gone months/years without seeing a girl and then had sex with her again.
    
    "cheating" is one of the most insecure social constructs mankind has in my opinion. Just because someone gets butthurt you fucked someone else and they felt hurt doesnt mean you "cheated" them. I've had girls get upset and "felt" like I cheated on them just because I fucked some girl / talked to some girl.. and the original girl hadn't even had sex with me.
    
    My first gf ever, who I was with for almost 2 years was very upset to find out that I had sex with one girl before her, yet she'd had sex with atleast 2 other guys before me. Cheating is a state of mind, with as trite as it sounds.
    
    My ex gf grimes/cranberries, was always jealous of my daughters mom (even though i never had sex with my daughters mom after meeting grimes) even though she knew i had a child with her from the get-co. Some people will always find a reason to get upset over something that makes them feel small. But basically there is no such thing as cheating unless you sign some kind of legal/religious contract with god or a judge..

    and because there is literally no point to life other than to live it, and understanding the people and world around you give you a huge advantage. but people are hard and inconsistent and i can only be so good with them, but science just is, so if you put in a little work you can get like +5 to all your attributes
