please cite any and all posts where i mentioned my dad being violent (parental measures such as reprimanding after getting in trouble/misbehavior arent violence)
and substance abuse doesn't make someone a bad person or reduce their capacity to rear their children well. the intrusion of substance abuse into their role of parent is the problem. and yes, my dad had a stint of alcoholism, but he does not drink (and as of a few weeks now, smoke or dip snuff either) anymore and has made a noticeable and much appreciated effort to make amends for that period of shitty parenting -

if i can sit down and have a good time eating and smoking cheech with my mom who lied, cheated and stole from my dad just to cover a crack habit and has neglected her job as a parent since i was born and has the gall to try and drop back in now that im an adult and feel no hard feelings, then you should be able to forgive a parent who acts out of selfish anger. i understand that getting physical with your children beyond giving them the belt when they get in trouble at school is inexcusable, but at the end of the day hes still your parent. my dad told me this one time and its stuck with me since: "you may not respect the person, but you have to respect the position."
if he didnt love you he wouldnt try and fix things and trust me when i say its rough trying to get past it but if you dont you'll have a little ball of resentment in your heart thats like a kidney stone: it gets worse the longer its in you -

if i dont have a reason to post here, a forum on the internet tailored to a community of a website that died while i was little, then who the fuck does? your personal vendetta against me and my posts carries no weight or meaning. if i want to post here, its my right and clearly based on responses to my posts, im liked by several of the active members here. i dont care if you dont like me; i dont wake up in the morning to give you a boner. if you think i shouldnt be able to post here. why dont you take it up with the owner of the fucking website (who also posts here, and will probably read this). i get that you're an old head from the time when totse was still a thing and even after it was shut down, and i get that you may not like my posting style or the content of them or just plain dont like ME, and youre entitled to your own opinion. but with that being said, your feelings towards me have no bearing on reality or any chance of getting me removed from the site for breaking no rules.
