I actually have said recently that I do ride my bike now, instead of driving. I don't mind riding my bike honestly, it's nice.
OK, GONTS. You're getting your point across. I will humbly admit that my view of drinking and driving as a whole is a bit inaccurate. Like I've said before, I don't mind being wrong, not that I WANT to be, but I can handle it. I'd rather be right about something than insistently wrong because of some type of pride issue.
I don't, and have not, encouraged drinking and driving. And living where I do certainly limits my viewpoint to what it may be like drinking and driving in faster, bigger city, higher traffic scenarios, so that has likely skewed my views.
That being said, I still don't think I take issue with a person driving home or to the store even if they're over the legal limit, maybe... twice the legal limit is where it starts to really cause a significant difference in comparison to sober driving. As has been discussed, there are obviously a myriad of other drivers on the road who, although sober, or posing their own increased risks due to texting, talking on cell, sleepiness, or being high on any other type of drug. So, drinking and driving isn't ever lessening any risk, but up to a certain point, I don't really think it's increasing it all that much, like I imagine everyone here has probably been over the legal limit of alcohol intoxication and you realized that you were still able to essentially perform everything nearly the same as if you were sober. THROW ME A GODDAMN BONE! haha
