Let's say that big sins are like having your credit rating trashed: it's gonna take a lot of redemption to get back, and if I ever did something awful (and maybe I have), I don't think I could ever be pure again. I would consider myself a lost and broken person, like a bank turning down a guy with a shit credit record.
Fair enough. I still take issue with the transactional model of charity presented by some Muslims I've spoken with about the subject, but I really don't think that charity in Islam is a bad thing. There are far worse crimes committed under the guise of generosity than selfish wishes of spiritual wealth.

Not at all. My intention is not to make you care less about the kids, it's to expose a possible issue with how the OP has framed the issues at hand. -

Originally posted by infinityshock you missed the point that animals are neither deserving nor requesting 'rights.'
So because animals are unable to sign the social contract (employing human language, no less), they are tacitly consenting to their own murder?it is disgusting that there are those demented enough to display the hubris of professing to know what is best for organisms that neither want nor need their attentions.
Better that I would consider the well-being of animals for them than you, considering I understand that they're actually sentient, and thus have some ideas about what conditions they might find agreeable.the animals subscribe to the prime law of the universe. survival of the fittest.
If animals can't request their rights in writing, why do you think they can subscribe to an unwritten "prime law of the universe" as you have so eloquently phrased it? -

you want to give rights to property. to non-entities. to a fucking food-item. there is no justification for that other than mental disease.
you're an idiot.
You don't seem interested in contributing anything, learning anything, or really doing anything of value in this thread. You know you can argue against animal rights and still be a good user, right? Look at Issue313, for example, or Daily, or any other user opposite my position who isn't you, and try to be more like them.
Originally posted by infinityshock don't be a fucking retard…you get the point I was trying to make.
Look, I'll try to be nice this time: you're in a philosophical discussion, in one of the discussion forums. You need to understand that specific words have specific meanings, and if you use them incorrectly, you can expect that you'll need to defend themselves or you'll get shut down. You can't play fast-and-loose in philosophy, your arguments should rather be carefully thought through and as airtight as you can make them. You might be having a hard time because you weren't sure what to expect, and that's okay, just try to get along and learn something if you really want to participate and be well-received. -

Originally posted by §m£ÂgØL2becausescronfuckeduptheforum For sure. Everything will work out. It's already a weird dynamic when both are working with me though. You can sense the competition, if that makes sense.
But I probably won't be here for more than a few months.
Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about and it's trouble. This tension is not a sustainable pattern. Unless both of these girls are very nice and/or totally passive, it's bound to present difficulty for you. -

Originally posted by §m£ÂgØL2becausescronfuckeduptheforum It's FWB not because I want to fuck other women, but because I didn't want a relationship. I don't know how she'd feel about me fucking this other girl but it'd probably be pretty awkward at work.
Oh, I see, that does complicate the situation. If you work with both of them, I'd stick to one. Unless you're at a job you want to have forever, you'll probably move on and forget about them both in time. There's no reason to make your short stay unpleasant by inciting jealousy and heartbreak. -

Originally posted by Malice It's simple. There are issues with asymmetrical information and I would likely know more about Asperger's than they do, I would certainly know more and have a better understanding of myself. Anyone who came to that conclusion would simply be wrong.
So you don't think there's a way you could be wrong about your diagnosis? That's not a scientific assessment, then. Doctors know so much because they acknowledge the fallibility of their claims. Do you really think you can self-report more accurately than a seasoned psychiatrist can diagnose an illness born by literally hundreds of other patients who see them? It's almost like you prefer to have autism. -

I had a classmate like this in high school. He was one of the nicest guys I knew; joined every club and every team. You could plainly tell he didn't understand socializing at all, but he put himself out there every day and made it a point to be kind and friendly to everyone. This attitude got him far. He even had a couple of girlfriends, all of whom ran screaming after no more than two weeks. I'm not sure what he's doing now. The last time I saw him, he lectured me for smoking. -

Lanny, do you remember that time I made a thread about an old thread you had made about a porn video? It was two girls in their late teens/early 20s fooling around a bit in a dressing room. You edited it to say "Voyeurism is a sin", but fortunately there was either a cached or archived version available. I think I was trying to provide evidence that you were lying about being a girl. You're excuse was just that you "thought it was kind of sweet". There was also that time I was attempting to make the case that you were a pedophile, but that was just trolling.
Hey, imagine how good of a detective I would be. I was the first to independently discover that Sophie was psychomantis, which he denied until he was no longer able to weasel out of it. Literally read every single post of his on Long Live Zoklet. Great memory, heightened senses, obsession, divergent thinking, pattern recognition etc. Sherlock Holmes is actually referred to as a model of a fictional character who may be on the spectrum. Of course IRL it isn't anywhere near as fun and shit just gets old.
…and it's simply un-fucking-deniable.
Suppose that these doctors were all well-regarded in their fields and they came to the incontrovertible conclusion that you autism has all been a fabrication - how do you expect you'd handle this news? -

Originally posted by -SpectraL Well, that's strange. Because I specifically recall at least one member getting banned for only saying the taboo word in his quote, not his actual post.
Not sure which instance you're talking about, I thought I'd seen all the ban posts. They might've had two taboo words, which I think is possible. -

Originally posted by -SpectraL Well, from what I had noticed in passing, even if people quoted the taboo word, or even used it as part of another whole word, they would be banned. But when you were able to quote the taboo word, monster, and you still weren't banned, I knew something was up.
Nah, quoting doesn't count. A lot of people who quote their taboo word also repeat it themselves, usually because the person they quoted crafted their post strategically to lead the target to that particular word. I could probably say m*nster, but I'd rather not risk it. Posting here is too important to me. -

And if you call that being "got", then you sure have a very low estimate of what being "got" is.
The problem with this cover is that you've attempted to impress the userbase on countless occasions by claiming an encyclopedia-autismo knowledge of users, dates and administrators. How someone with this unique and versatile talent would commit a simple oversight about something as all-important as when Totse opened or even just your own join date (which you could simply copy from your CV), I cannot fathom. -

I mean, I still won't say it because it's a known trigger word and I'm 50% sure that you can get the same one twice in a row. But, yes, when you return from your ban a new person is trying to get you to say a [usually] different word. -

No, I didn't. Read every post I've made in this thread, I haven't used the word "sentience" once. You substituted that because my actual measurement of animal rights - moral agency - is too many letters for you.
