I usually wear my collar flat but was a little chilly walking home tonight so I turned the collar on my jacket up so the wind wouldn't be on my neck, forgot about it, and when I looked in a mirror I was like "oh yeah" and thought it actually looked bretty good and surprisingly non-douchey (maybe a result of being a jacket as opposed to a polo or w/e). Kinda had a max stirner vibe going.

I just got back from seeing toe live, was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. The percussion has always been a highlight but it was even better live, different mix, the guitars were a but fuzzier which made for some really interesting moments of almost churny sound and the rhythm section stood out more as a result. I was also blown away by how much improvisation there was in the set, all the tracks were recognizable but they went off in totally new (to me, having only heard recordings before, at least) directions.
DAD'S are playing on tuesday, tickets are cheap so I'm going to turn up to that. I like their music but I'm not nuts over it, still it's a fun tuesday outing, might take someone along, we'll see. -

Will check the wayback machine in a bit to see if I can rip them from there but if anyone has a backup I'd appreciate it (I remember arnox had a zip at one point, no idea if that's still floating around)

That's definitely true to some extent, it may sound corny but there are niggas here who actually give a fuck about you, rando internet person or not, and don't want to give you advice that could fuck you up, so there is a tendency to play it safe. But there's also the fact that many of us are just fucking broken and have a hard time (or simply can't) maintaining intimate human relationships and that's a fucking bad place to be. You know your situation better than any of us for sure, you've said before you could "replace" your girl in terms of having another bitch in your bed tomorrow so maybe the advice of those of us with social issue doesn't apply, but being truly alone in the world comes with all kind of problems that you really can't just power through. We're social creatures and romantic partners and real friends aren't replaceable as easily as they might seem. I guess my point is that a human being who's been beside you for a while is worth a lot more than they might seem like in a moment of crisis and that's really apparent to people who don't have someone like that. So do what you need to blood, you know what you need, but I guess my point is you shouldn't throw away a person you have a real connection with lightly. It really is better to be taken advantage of slightly (because no relationship is truly equal and exactly half of all people are being taken advantage of to some degree) than it is to be all on your own.

My grandmother is a devout christian and visited jerusalem like, uhh, maybe 10 years ago now. It was a pilgrimage type scenario. I'm definitely down for some interesting religious landmarks but on its own I'm not sure the holy land is all that appealing. Is there much of interest in Israel besides religious sites?
I think I'd rather visit Istanbul on the whole. I mean again there's a large amount of religious association with that city but I think more than Jerusalem it's interesting on merit of its architecture and history. Maybe like a week in istanbul, then down the coast to Acre for a few days and then down to Jerusalem for another couple day or two. I wonder if I'd have any trouble crossing that border, but a trip that roughly follows the first crusade seems kinda badass in its own right.
Anyway, OP, are you talking about canadian currency or american? I know the sizes of coins are similar but for this kind of thing the difference seems like it could be significant.
