Gunfire reported at the Saudi palace, possible coup in progress

    ooh its exciting isn't it?

They've claimed they shot down a drone that flew too close, but there are multiple videos that indicate heavy gunfire so it could be anything.

On the topic of KSA, Sudanese mercenaries are refusing to work with them anymore as the Yemeni keep turning them into mincemeat. KSA is trying to convince Uganda to take their place.

gotta say wasn't looking good for iran for a while there but they seem to now be winning their proxy war, probably bad news for american citizens but perhaps good for the world

Took a break from following this mess, but now there are fresh (assumed) jedistrikes, several SAA targets - an airbase and some munitions depots - hit, they're being strangely quiet about where the missiles came from this time though.
  7. aldra JIDF Controlled Opposition
    Confirmed jedistrikes.

From the munitions' wreckage, it appears that they've employed GBU-39 long-range glider bombs. Given their range, they would have had to have been delivered via aircraft from within the range of the SAA's S-200 SAM sites, which is interesting because no targets were reported to have been engaged or even detected - rumour is that the US is using the constant ebb of Israel's aggression to test configuration of stealth tech for the new F35.

Not important per se, but Russia's apparently building a successor to the TOS-1 MLRS, same idea but with more, longer tubes on an Armata chassis. I only mention it because I still consider it the most terrifying weapon on the battlefield today:

even if you don't get incinerated, you'll probably suffocate from the thermobaric rounds consuming all the oxygen in the area

US State Department has announced they've made deliveries of JAVELIN anti-tank hardware to Ukraine, making good on their agreement to provide them with 'lethal arms'. Coincidentally, today marks the end of Kiev's so-called 'Anti-Terrorist Operation', now a standard 'Armed Forces Operation'. New life is being injected into a conflict that's already dragged on for far too long.

stealth tech will be obsolete soon due to advancement in optical detection tech.

those slavs sure do love their rockets
  12. So WW3 is back on now, right?

Apparently there's been another strike and everybody's saying they're not involved

Oh wait, that's probably what aldra was talking about...

There has been a total media blackout on this.

Unsurprising. Iran stated they will respond directly to any future attacks and israel is threatening to destroy the S-300 systems with cruise missiles if Russia transfers them to the SAA.

As an aside Bibi has rehashed old claims that Mossad retrieved details of Iran's 'nuclear program' in an effort to convince Europe that Iran's not adhering to the JCPOA, even though the IAEA is running the most intrusive inspection program ever and have reported that Iran's meeting every obligation.

I don't know what came of this. It was explained as a civilian drone flying too close to the palace but videos seem to indicate extended automatic gunfire on the ground as well as royal medical aircraft leaving the scene.

Latest example of typical Saudi behaviour:

They killed a guy in Yemen with a predator drone, mistaking him for a high-ranking military officer.
They then launched an airstrike on they guy's funeral, killing 80 or so.

    80+ more airstrikes to go.

SYRIA - New 'chemical attack' being prepared in the Deir Eizzor region.

I haven't seen any talk of it in mainstream news (including Russian) but military sources have reported that the field commanders who negotiated militant withdrawal from East Ghouta and Douma have all been executed at Idlib. There's no direct explanation, but given the violence that occurred during the negotiations, it seems that some of the more hardline militants are extremely displeased that those positions were given up (even though it would've been a slaughter if they'd tried to fight to the last).

SAA is making progress against ISIS in Yarmuk. The stronghold is surrounded and cut off from supply lines, and the SAA have now taken a main road, effectively cutting the stronghold in half.

YEMEN - Apparently US Green Berets are operating on the ground now, attempting to find TBM launch sites. I'd expect they're hoping for casualties to justify an actual 'military intervention', but the US is already spread across Syria and Iraq so it'd probably be far more trouble than it's worth.

US has suspended funding to the White Helmets. It's probably just because most of the areas they operated in have been retaken by the government, but it's a start. The majority of their funding comes from Europe and Turkey though so we'll have to see if this makes any difference.
