2017-07-04 at 3:18 PM UTC in problem with an app on androidNot all apps show up in your application drawer. It sounds like it's some kind of background or custom lock screen.
You should check in the background settings and screen lock settings. You should be able to access these from your home screen by clicking and holding on the background itself until the menu popups, and then click settings.
Also, is she using a custom launcher? Did it install a custom launcher? -
2017-07-04 at 3:12 PM UTC in do you think this tether bypass would work? The video was for Windows so I don't know, but I do know that you should just root and then run a different OS.
Is this for iPhone or Android?
Way back in the day, when I had an iPhone, used Windows, and had AT&T, and before I jailbroke my iPhone, I was able to tether by connecting my phone up to my PC via USB and messed with internet settings in Windows.
If you're using Android and use Linux as your OS, and don't want to root your device, you can use Easy Tether. There is a way to get the full version for free if you download an older version, write down the key(which is visible because the older versions are set up for a short trial), and then install the newest version, then input the key.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mstream.easytether_beta
Setting it up is fairly easy. There are instructions on their site and a link there from within the app.
If you're running Windows prepare for malware. -

The only way to reclaim your dignity is to hunt them down and rape then twice as hard. I can buy you a ticket to Shanghai and a sit-down with the Triad boss Huang Xi Qiaonamen. The rest is up to you.

Oh I see. Definitely worthwhile since it appears new.

All you have to do is obtain one of those 0days that the FBI uses, before there is a patch for it, and get somebody to click on a link. You'd have to target the right browser, architecture, and OS, but there usually seems to be unpatched exploits for OS floating around. -

2017-06-28 at 5:06 PM UTC in Locked out of my youtube account for no reason?Be careful though and make sure the link is actually to Google. Sometimes phishing email will send these out with a link to a similar site where they capture your password.
But it's likely like others said. -
2017-06-28 at 5:01 PM UTC in What the heck even is this? Can these get into firmware yet? That'd be a bit scary if you'd have to reflash your firmware to get rid of it. I thought I had read that they can.
Edit: I couldn't find anything searching for "red skull over icon windows", not even images. The closest I got was something called 'Skuller/Vandal Trojan' that target the Symbian mobile OS back in 2004.

Originally posted by infinityshock so did i…along with NYC subway and access tunnels. I've done things in US sewers and what passed as sewers..along with underground 'places' in several other countries. a literal awake-nightmare involved a sewer…which is part of the reason why nothing phases me anymore.
the biggest issue underground is gas. whether it's zero-oxygen atmosphere or something like no-smell toxic chemicals…it's the quickest way to get dead.
Robbing a bank is dangerous. -

Originally posted by infinityshock i dont feel like getting into a long, drawn out debate over using sanitary sewers as a 'line-of-communication' (go google it…too complicated for me to care about explaining) because inevitably some know-it-all know-nothing is going to whip his dick out and try to swing it around.
to make a long story short…stay the fuck out of anything underground relating to sewers and drainage unless a whole fuckton of learning and practice is involved. again…too complicated to explain, but feel free to go google it: GAS

2017-06-27 at 5:55 AM UTC in My Microsoft Account Had A Suspicious LoginI forgot I had a Microsoft account but now I remember I made one when I got my SP3. Anyways, it has me paranoid. With that Yahoo breach, my password was obtained but does anyone know if that was only for the Russians or were there dumps of it online? I use to have a bad habit of using the same password but I then began to use like three different passwords and now I have a few dozen.
Also, I moved to a new department at work and my manager was showing me something work related online and I had to type in my password for an account I created a while back but I couldn't remember the password so I kept trying different passwords and noticed him watching me type them in. These weren't important passwords though, only old ones, but that is what my Microsoft account used. I know this guy is into computers and programming so he might be pulling an old hack-a-rou on me.
Microsoft had an address from China but doesn't seem to be a TOR exit node. I changed some of my passwords just in case.
This Microsoft account had shit in it along with any other accounts with those old passwords but it's kind of nice knowing that someone is trying but not getting anywhere...hopefully. -

I've only heard about these. I saw a documentary about a bank robber from the 90's and they tracked him using them. I bet they have a small battery and a tab blocking the battery that gets pulled once the bundle is removed from the counter. -

Originally posted by Captain Falcon Makes sense; the best way to beat an eye in the sky is to go underground
There's still little trackers they put in cash bundles. Not to mention that once you go into the sewers, the police likely have maps and can determine where you'll likely come up at(or at least narrow it down and have officers waiting).
The whole point of the electric bike is to cover a large distance quickly enough so that you'll be out of their perimeter. A specially made bag with multiple sealable pockets(in case a dye pack goes off) and made to prevent tracking, would be good.
A robbery like this though would be best taking hostages(kidnapping) and hitting the vault. It'd be get away and be set for life or go to prison for the rest of your life.
