The intro class I took in high school was all about QuickBASIC and was easy. You wont get much from just an intro course though. You'll likely learn about data types, loops, and conditionals.

Have you. considered just getting an OTG cable and connecting a keyboard. I am assuming that you already have at least one keyboard.

I remember fooling around with the Zune SDK a long time ago when the Zune HD (that embarrassing flop of a device) first came out. Programming for that stuff was how I got acquainted with C# and the .NET framework. But since this is an android thread none of that matters.

I would like to see more NETSEC tools on android. Maybe I am just out of the loop but it would be pretty cool to have an android app kit that essentially turns a tablet or smart phone into something like Backtrack or Kali or some other pen testing netsec distro. As I am actually getting back into things I would totally be down to collaborate with some of you niggers about this sort of thing.

There's these two, which are merging...

There's also some other's and some are open source, which is nice. I actually was about to arpspoof myself on some public wifi(a first time arpspoof for me).

I'm actually making an app of my own that can do a bunch of stuff. But I'm focusing more on creating a rouge/poisened hotspot that'll collect data. Something more for setting up on a cheap phone(so there's no real worries if it's found) and left at a cafe/restaurant/bar, that'll send data to an email address. The above programs seems more like they are for just testing. I want one for doing. ;)

I haven't really used Android Studio that much, but I am planning on making the switch. Eclipse crashes a lot on big projects, but relearning all of the little things about an IDE can be time consuming.

I have never heard about this 'processing interface' but it looks like it'll set you back as far as learning what you can really do.

On a device with root access, you can actually do quite a bit. But it is limited to the ROM, which is why I want to start making those.

I will. But I think the scam is that they make you pay for service for like three months, at $40 a month.

Is anyone else into Android app development?

I said I was going to make a tutorial on rdfrn but never did(which is probably good because idio shut it down), but I was curious on who else developes, or wants to develope, android apps.

I'm currently learning more about the NDK(Native Development Kit) and developing apps targeted at phones with root access.

Eventually I want to actually make my own ROM, which doesn't look to difficult.

Lol, junior member… That reminds me…I had the strangest issue with my SGS4 recently. I've had the thing for over two years and haven't once ran into a problem that I couldn't troubleshoot through probably one hundred rom flashes (I shit you not) until a couple weeks ago. The damn thing just crashed for no reason and then continued to crash at the boot logo every time that I would remove and reinsert the battery. That went on for about 5 attempts before it finally booted up properly. A couple days later with no issues, and it happened again totally out of the blue. This time it took something like thirty battery pulls before it finally stopped crashing at the boot logo and booted up. It would crash at normal boot, recovery, and download mode. I even swapped out batteries to rule out the possibility of a bad battery. I was starting to think there was some internal hardware failure, but I haven't had an issue with it since. /ramble

I've noticed that the steps I read in most of the tutorials 'on rooting', aren't really complete. Pulling the battery out at an exact time was what actually got my Galaxy S3 rooted, and I had thought that the VirginMobile variant was unrootable for nearly two years. This step wasn't actually included in the instructions from the tutorial I was using, but all of the files and the rom worked perfectly.

It's almost something you get aquinted with. Like when the bootloader gets set back to stock after rebooting into the system, but you know that the boot loader insn't stock, then obviously you have to stop it from booting into the system(by pulling the battery).

I feel like I might be getting used to the process. I was talking to a co-worker today and she said something about some deal where you trade in any cell phone for a Galaxy S4, no contract. I'm planning on looking into it. So maybe I'll have another phone to root soon. But I've been drinking tonight...

Actually, I have noticed that people that that think they have high IQs, are usually idiots.

More of this shit here?
13. SBTlauien African Astronaut
Yes we are.

I work in retail, and we are switching over to chip and pin. The machines still take the magstripe, but they prefer to pin and chip. Elderly customers always bitch and are confused about using it. I haven't actually got a new card from my bank yet and my card expires in about a year. So, it'll be a while before this all goes down.

I like to drink beers wiht fruit flavors like designer beers that have like rasberries in it. In Poland you can even ask star trek he will tell you you can buy additional juices or like flavors to throw into any beer for a couple of zloty or like 0 cents. Ive never seen this in any other country where they add flavors to beers or juixes. They even have hot beers here.

Make some type of security program. I'm working on an Android app right now and I can ping hotspots I connect to, port scan the nodes connected to it(as well as regular websites), connect via raw socket to the port if it's open, dictionary attacks against password-protected access points, find directories on websites, soon create rouge hot-spots that act just like one of those McDonalds/Starbucks hot spots with the disclaimer page, set up http/https proxies and retrieve lists of them from online, whois, some Xposed Module stuff, make password lists, some p2p and bluetooth stuff...

Start building and it never stops...
