2017-04-21 at 3:35 AM UTC in New Bees on the wayi just bought some 'real' honey at a fair the other day. i sampled 3 or 4 allegedly different ones and each one tasted the same, looked the same, and had the same viscosity. from memory there was orange blossom, palmetto, clover, and another one that i cant remember...some flower thing.
the palmetto one MAY have been slightly sweeter/less tart but i dont see how a beekeeper can be so sure of where his little flocks are actually out wandering off and flower-sucking.
yes, i know that some beekeepers 'rent' their hive boxes out to orange groves, but the saw palmettos are out in the middle of BFE and the little bastards can stop anywhere along the way to suck on a flower. for instance...i have a triangle palm that when it flowers i get massive swarms...hundreds and hundreds maybe...and im relatively sure theyre domesticated bees. how do you market 'triangle palm honey'

When I arrived at "the office" I waited and was finally shown into Pazacj's office by the secretary. He asked me to sit and questioned if I knew why I was here. I sat and replied that I had no idea what he could want to see me about.
He then begin boring me with shit about how high my standardized test scores were. Shit like the old Iowa and California tests or some crap. I just kept nodding in agreement as I knew I was sharper than him. Finally he got to the point. He said something like, I just don't understand why, with all your potential, you smoke marijuana like the rest if those "dregs". Yes he actually said dregs. I held back a snicker as a stood, put both my hands flat on the edge of his desk, leaned in just a bit as smiled warmly, and replied, "I only smoke it to make it fair to everyone else including you Mr. Pazack. Did you need anything else or may be excused now?" He sat there with an incredulous look on his face and no reply on his lips so I left.

one example is a geriatric in a geriatric home who is prescribed vyvance for some reason...then she can't sleep, so they give her xanax, and regardless of pre-dementia possibilities, she is totally fucking fruity. before she was on those drugs...and about 3 months after she stopped taking them...she is completely normal, coherent, and has zero memory/crazy behavior
I knew a guy in the military who was a normal cool guy until he started taking some sort of amphetamine that the corpsmen would literally hand out like candy...then he went full-on stupid. he was a dick to everyone, insubordinate, lost all his previous work ethic, and always carried the happy pills on his person and seemed to be constantly chewing on them. -

I don't remember the key points...I'm at work and can't google it, but it has to do with the ultimate source of income, being raw materials and cheap labor, no longer being as viable as it was. for example...they have stopped mining aluminum and methane because they literally have nowhere to store it. their laborers are starting to make noises of protest over wages, and desire to increase them. manufacturers are pulling out due to labor rates and shitty quality. that...and there is something going on with their stock markets and how they arrange the value of their currency that is having a negative effect on their fiscal viability.
