2020-11-03 at 2:45 PM UTC in American Terrorist Plot Foiled by FBI“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York Magazine that year for a story headlined “Jeffrey Epstein: International Moneyman of Mystery.” “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

2020-11-03 at 2:35 PM UTC in Alright, state your name and powerLets be honest, there's no way Trump even had a chance of winning this state anyway. I mostly went to vote for the tax act and vote against this Republican congressional district lady who has been mailing me flat out lies about the proposed tax act.
Like damn the legislature is readily available online if you need proof your taxes wouldn't go up. I don't make 400k+ a year and don't see how the current flat tax in our state is at all fair. The act lowers most people's taxes. -

2020-11-03 at 2:20 PM UTC in Get Out and VoteVoted for Biden. Feels good. Said it in another post but there was a lot of young people there. Small line of like 3-5 people and there was sanitizer everywhere and free masks if you forgot one. Way busier than when I voted at a similar time for the primaries and in 2016.
Feeling good about this election. As long as voter turnout is high, Biden will win. -

2020-11-03 at 1:04 PM UTC in US election is overshadowing major Islamic unrest in Europe
Originally posted by aldra I don't really have the attention span for a proper rundown at the moment, but there seems to be a lot going on that's getting less attention because of the Old Man Open 2020:
1. French beheading. After a teacher in France got a real close shave, Macron unexpectedly dropped the hammer on Islamic (see: Turkish) groups in the country. He appears to be the only, or at least the first European leader not to back down or accept responsibility for 'provoking' such attacks. What's less reported is that a memorial was held for the victim at the school, and it was attacked by people with petrol, acid and apparently other chemicals.
2. Austria is still trying to clean up a co-ordinated attack where several of them apparently opened fire in a predominately J'ewish neighbourhood in Vienna. Turks and Chechens according to early information, killed 7 injured 15. It's possibly the prelude to a wider attack, and not all of the initial attackers have presently been found.
3. Turks are starting to chimp out hard due to new regulations stemming from 1> - specifically banning hard-right nationalist groups like the Iron Wolves (why the fuck weren't they banned previously? they fought in Syria against anyone Turkey didn't like and have been a proscribed terrorist group longer than that).
It looks like Austria and France might actually start moving toward the other more 'nationalist' European countries - it's absurd how countries like Germany and Austria have allowed Turkey to create huge foreign communities that are wholly adherent to Turkish interests over domestic, insofar as they feel it's both a necessity and a right for Turkish political candidates to campaign there. I've seen reports that the Chinese government has recommended that the Europeans 'put them all in camps' but it's hard to tell what's serious and what's not
Nothingburger. Isolated attacks of terror that have nothing to do with Islam but will be used to stir up fear by right wing nationalists, who are a far bigger threat to peace in their countries than anyone else. -
