Was over at my mom's house trying to help her find something and in the process I found the old HDD Zok sent me all those years ago. I know it's the one because my case at the time had bright green mounting brackets that allowed you to quickly slide drives in and out and those brackets are still screwed into the side of it.

Woke up at the butt crack of dawn today and packed a bag of clothes and filled the rest of my car with cat stuff and cats. It's been a long fucking day to say the least. Things are going well though. The cats were super scared at first but Zoey has started adventuring around and thinks her new cat pad is the coolest thing ever. My other cat Tabby isn't as thrilled and crawled under a piece of wood and hasn't come out to eat or drink all day. Haven't introduced them to the dogs yet although Zoey followed me up the steps without me knowing and almost introduced herself. I'm kind of sad I missed it because she has never used steps before and I wanted to see. Anyways, the place is a fucking wreck at the moment and it will take a lot of work to get settled in but today was progress and that's for sure.

I googled it. All I've done are basement windows and they are relatively easy. You do need a helper or you'll be forced to screw in some wood supports so your window doesn't come crashing in before you get it shimmed. I just used a helper. Window $68 Tools $25 Mortar $6 Can of spray foam $4

My day started off at 4am when my girlfriend got up to go to work. Last night we went to bed around 8pm so I got my sleep although I have to be up until probably 1am so I'll be tired come days end. Felt a little overwhelmed with shit to do before I could dip out and head back to my apartment but it turned out to be all in my head. The dishes from last night didn't take very long even though I broke the aerator off the sink. I asked her if she wanted me to try and fix it and she informed me that it was a junk ass faucet off amazon and there was no point. Had to assemble a little modular cubby thing that she wants in her closet. It only took 5 minutes... Gathered up all my clothes and packed. Even with playing an hour of TF2 this morning I was still pretty much done by 7:30. Then I checked the weather and found it will be a wet and fucky week leaving me screwed out of getting these windows replaced anytime soon. Either way, my brother is coming over this morning to measure them and get me new ones ordered before he quits his job at the end of the week. Perhaps I'll get a discount but I honestly just need them ordered at this point and I really need a sunny, warm day to start putting them in. With the Lancer gone I am in need of something else that will save me gas but I'll probably wait a little while and hopefully save a few more bucks for something slightly nicer. Right now and with the clock ticking away until I'm to be out of my apartment for good, I'm in a hurry to get set up at my girlfriends as comfortably as possible.
My to do list for the basement: Replace windows Scrape and paint walls. Paint stairs. Throw something on the floor to walk on.
I'm not going to get all this done and I know it. If I can get the steps painted and at least scrape off the worst of the worst and hit it with flex seal I will be happy.
Update: I forgot to hit post...
Anyways, my brother stopped by and told me to downsize the windows I am ordering, leave the old window frames in, shim the fuck out of it, spray foam the hell out of it, and add some trim pieces. He is going to send me what I need to order.
Anyways, I'm about to leave my girlfriend's house. Have to stop at the bank on my way home.
I'm hangry and want to eat crab cakes damn it.

I crashed hard as fuck. Usually once a month or so I feel it and have to fight really hard not to miss a day of work. This afternoon after going through the previous night with little sleep and lots of sickness I guess I pressed forth too hard and lost it. Maybe my thinking was flawed or maybe it wasn't but I was legit worried about my cat so I went home and checked on her only to find her totally fine and myself freaked out over nothing. I sat down on the end of my bed and decided there was no point in rushing back to work and that I'd just show up after the next break. Well I crashed hard and only woke up when my girlfriend called to check on me after which I texted my supervisor and said I'd be back tomorrow. 5 hours went by before my eyes finally opened up and I found myself laying upon my mattress fully clothed, ready for work with my steel toed boots still on my feet. Coming to was sort of as if a fog slowly lifted around me and I realized I just threw away $120 of work and knowing that already has me regretting my actions. There was little other choice in my opinion. Had I stayed at work my mind would have been distracted the entire time worried sick and being so tired would make my job extra difficult just trying to look out for people and be safe. I'm glad I got some rest but I wish it didn't go down quite like it did today. Tomorrow and Friday I have no choice except to try and make up some lost time so my paycheck doesn't look like complete fuck. Right now I really want a pizza but I'm not about to reward myself for the fiasco that was my day. Instead I'm going to go wash off in the shower and fix something I already have at home. Going to try and stay up for a while in order to keep my routine somewhat. I'm ready for the weekend and so badly I want to put today behind me.
