IDK mang, the US has some important (although I guess that’s a matter of opinion) programs that are pretty underfunded. NASA and SSI come to mind. Probably “healthcare” too (meaning like health infrastructure, public hospitals, programs for the disabled and un/underemployed, not the subsidized/regulated insurance thing that “healthcare” has come to mean).
I mean I get your point, US foreign aid is kind of a boogie man and assuming you don’t include military “aid” it’s not a very big expense compared the other money holes we shovel tax dollars into.
