Reminds me of (IIRC) Timex's original creator who got a watch set to greenich mean and went village to village charging people to get the righ time, then when he died his daughter basically tried to copywrite time itself. Maybe that was a dream I had about a supervillan idk

Anything where 100% of the perimeter isn't equidistant from the centre point, isn't a circle.

Yes, circles exist. Perfect circles may not, but the issue there is perfection - not the circle itself. By the same logic a perfect square probably doesn't exist (is perhaps even less likely to exist). But squares exist. Perfection does not.

  5. I just Emailed someone about my dream last night so I'll just copy paste it here.

Every night I go to sleep with Alexia playing "rain sounds" on loop. So obviously it's the sound of rain and putting it on loop means it will continue to play till I stop it.

Anyway I had a dream (OR MAYBE IT WAS REAL). That a mans voice came over my Alexa basically saying "this is a warning to stop playing rain sounds. I've hacked your device and if you continue to play it I'll hack everything you have" I woke up and my rain sounds had STOPPED...I wondered if I'd imagined/dreamed the voice...so I started up the rain sounds again took a piss and went back to sleep....WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING THE RAIN SOUNDS HAD STOPPED AGAIN BY ITSELF.

Here is another interesting piece in my collection. A limited edition custom engraved "Spartan" Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 chambered in .45 ACP. I found this last December on Gunbroker around the same time I found the M1 Garand. The seller listed it as 1 of 10. I was of course skeptical about a limited edition of only 10 selling brand new in the box for only like $1500 or $1600 (I don't recall of the top of my head but it was in the range with shipping and FFL fees).

So before I bought I sent an email to info@magnumresearch.com. In that email I stated "I am looking at one of these and the seller claims only 10 were ever made. Is this true?" They replied within 24 hours with 2 simple sentences. "He is close, there were 13 made total. We kept two and gave the designer one." So the seller was truthful in that there were only 10 released for sale. I have 4 other 1911's so I have decided to never fire this one in hopes that someday I way own the only one that has never been fired.

Anyhow below are a few pictures of it.

That seems like a neat project would be cool to see it when it's done. Not sure how I feel about the picatinny, but I get why you might want it (even if you're sacrificing a lot of beauty just to make a gun that'll never really be practical... slightly less impractical).

Also are the picatinny and barrel bands 3D printed? Convenient! But... the aesthetic. 🤮

Next is my favorite shotgun in the collection. The RIA VR-80 Stormtrooper edition. It is shown with the 19 round magazine. I also have 9 and 5 round magazines for it. Additionally the 5 round mag can be made legal for hunting by removing the bottom cap an inserting the reducing plug it ships with.

I had a Saiga 12 for a while but after buying and firing the VR-80 I realized what a POS it was. The VR-80 has cycled flawlessly for over 2000 rounds so far with a few exceptions during the initial 250 round break in period.

It comes with a threaded barrel and three choke tubes. It is a dramatic rethinking of semi-auto shotguns because it’s an AR first and a shotgun second. The lower receiver is compatible with with most commercial AR-15 buffer tubes, stocks and pistol grips so you can customize it to fit your needs. It will fire up to 3 inch shells and comes with two gas pistons, one for light shot and one for heavy shot.

  13. i'm too lazy to make the long form post about this so i'll just make a shortform Q&A instead.

Q: why would anyone want anything that shoots 5.7 as an EDC ?

A: because 5.7 punch thru body armors.

Q: at what range do 5.7 ammos punch thru body armors ?

    A: at close range.

Q: why would anyone want to shoot anyone's torso at close range instead of their face ?

A: because faces are smaller target than torsos.

Q: which makes them easier to hit .... because

    A: they are bad shooters.

Also falco, when I smile at your jokes I so start it with half my grin but not a snarl , it's just how my stupid face works. I can't smile normal, it starts with a side of my face. It bothered me so match at one point I even tried holding a pencil in my teeth to try to break the habit but I gave up after like 4 minutes of practicing .

When I smile at your jokes , or anyone's for that matter that are funny to me, I smile hard at the right side of my face and then just smile altogether.

Sup folx? Sum ya's may follow Fona threads and know that we chill. Well, He came to Central Ohio for a meeting of the minds, to chill wit a negu.

    Act I - The Mall

Fona came to the Mall 10 minutes before I got there and busted down a camel wit his woman, Chell. We got there and it was dark. We strolled the Mall for a hot minute, sampled some fish and grits, migturated and bounced.

    Act II - Refreshment Procural

Fona went to retrieve refreshments while I went to obtain nutrition resources. The Sun was out at the time of this process.

Act III - Stroll through the park

WOW! Sun up even higher!!! Fona lead us to a trail in the woods where we marched. COOL. Then we stopped to huff a Camel. We left there and light was agreeable.

Act IV - THE THRIFT STORE!!!

Cool, sun hidden to cover shame of purchasing second-hand, but still giving us daylight... Noice! We purchase agreeable goods and postulate many formidable theories of thrift-good utilization. We exit the store and Sun is on the horizon entire sky covered by dense clouds - overcast.

    Interlude

    Act V - Dinner

We pull in the parking lot 'round 5 minutes after dusk, after 15 minutes of pedantic driving. OVERCAST. Enter restaurant - we enjoy our meal. I use my mask everytime I hit the buffet bar and liberal hand sanitizer. Back up to the table, I kept kicking Fona's chair accidentally with my work boots. Sorry, Man. I communicate effectively with staff, facilitating wait eticate. I tip with asymmetric change currency, and we exit the restaurant to have a puff. Sundown, Andrew and Chell depart.

    //Perfect lighting all night

    AFTERMATH -

We leave and Milena (My SO), and I elect to patronize the Furniture store across the parking lot for a mood lift. Shop was unremarkable. Exit with excellent late year climate and night light.

    Thank you
