I'm even finding pictures of some of these mentioned Totseans on my computer, but ethically I know I can't post them.

    HOLY FUCK...

    RABBITWEED.

A user I want to add to my list of O.G. Totseans.

I know some of those are percocet, and I think a couple are soma/carisparidol, and I see two diphenhydramines.

I'm just so in a nostalgic mood I'm looking at old pictures I took like 6 years ago.

NO BUT I WANT TO... I don't know why, but I just have a craving for a full-blown opiate-junky girlfriend. Well... Back when I was using.

    Not so much anymore, though.

I had a heroin-addicted couple staying at my apartment for a few days not too long ago (because they were friends of a friend and they got evicted, and it was Winter time, in Canada and all, so I let them move in TEMPORARILY)...

Something about their relationship just made me jealous. I don't know what it is, but I want a junkie girlfriend (several years ago - in all practicality, not anymore).

actually why would you want to drink anything else?

top tier, btw, does not mean hundreds of dollars. nothing i hate more than posers that know nothing about shit and tout around $200 bottles of absolute garbage.

I will occasionally splurge on an aged single malt whiskey, but that's about the only kind of liquor where the taste even matters to me.

Most of the time, not gonna lie, my end goal is to get a buzz going, so the taste of what I'm drinking is of little importance.

But a decent single malt, I will sip on it slowly and enjoy it.

Red wine, I can't say I even know a Merlot from a Shiraz, but I don't mind red wine.

Cognac ain't so bad, but again, I don't have a whole lot of experience with it.

What is Brandy? Is Brandy Cognac? Or am I conflating two totally different things?

Sherry, though, you've captured my interest, because I've only EVER seen the truly destitute drink Sherry.

And I'm not saying that because I'm trying insult you or call you poor, let alone unrefined, or anything like that.

    I'm genuinely curious about Sherry.

Because there has to be more to it than bums buying it because it's the (mathematically speaking) cheapest way to get drunk - IF you get the right stuff.

Like any other liquor, I'm sure there's quality Sherry out there to balance out the stuff the bums love.

(And boy do they love it... a few weeks ago, I bought a CASE of the cheap Sherry and drank with a group of homeless alcoholics... They were so appreciative... it was among the best $100 I ever spent).

Yeah, I suppose the exclusivity is kind of a benefit. We get a certain degree of privacy and healthy seclusion.

I can't imagine posting somewhere like (at least on a regular basis) 4chan or Reddit, where by the time you type your post, 50 other replies to the same post you're replying to have been posted.

I legit get a boner every time I read this.

We could have been one of those hardcore opiate-addicted couples.

Not that it's something anyone should strive for, but man, I would so rob a pharmacy or convenience store with her.

We'd be like Bonnie and Clyde.

And Laphroaig sounds vaguely familiar. I might have actually tried that once. A single malt will taste very differently depending on which part of Scotland it hails from.

You just reminded me that Lab Tips was a separate forum from BLTC/NFHC.

I don't think we have a separate chemistry forum here... Which is fine, I think.

We don't have enough traffic / enrolled users to necessitate a second forum specifically for the chemical manufacture of drugs.

But Ghost (or scron or whatever) does kind of carry that torch that Lab Tips once held.

I forget Anne's username, she had some fucking name, she was just some cute e-girl on totse/zoklet that made a sort of journalism spin off site. Well I only say it was a spinoff because everyone on it was from &T/&Z. But it was a media thing, news and stuff.

I wish I knew who this Anne was.

There's a chance I know on some level who you're talking about, but can't place face to name.

funny note: at the time I was modding NFHC one of my friends that lived maybe a ten minute walk away was the mod of a certain bluelight forum. probably one of my favorite people in the world, too. too bad his girlfriend turned him into a weirdo skinny vegan.

Ok, I know stupid noob has posted on NIS at least once... I've seen his username... I think it was in an older thread from a few years ago about making meth (that someone else directed me to).

Studious_redux.... The "Studious" part, and the being moderator of a drug-related forum part, remind me of someone. He used to go by studious_SOMETHING. I talked to him on MSN, I'm pretty sure. He was a (male) nurse, I think... Living in England too I think.

Old robbinhoody, he was good people. I talked to him on MSN too, but haven't since like Totse days.

White Blue Mushrooms, sounds vaguely familiar, but not to the point that I remember having any specific conversations with them.

Oh, and mirror neurons are huge.

I am by no means an expert on mirror neurons, but I have definitely learned a thing or two about them.

Some researchers call them the foundation of civilization.

It's said to be how we went from feral apes to skyscraper-dwelling homo sapiens.

So on both a macro scale (i.e. the pages of history), as well as a micro scale (individuals growing up around other humans and learning from them), mirror neurons are a major contributor to our development.
  17. gadzooks Dark Matter [keratinize my mild-tasting blossoming]
So basically, we have a short window of opportunity to learn language, apparently.

If we are not taught language (and usually, that just means being around other human beings who speak the same verbal language as us), we actually risk missing the opportunity to do so.

I mean, think about it, how many people ever end up in Genie's situation, or the feral African wolf kid?

I can't say I'm all that familiar with the feral wolf kid from Africa, although there is a tale about a feral wolf-raised kid from somewhere in Europe some few hundred years ago.

Generally speaking, I approach these cases with skepticism, to be honest. Genie's case is well-documented. I'm not so sure about the African kid, although it is certainly possible.

But if this kid was exclusively around wolves during his formative years, I have to say, I doubt the veracity of the story if he actually ended up learning to communicate effectively.

Granted, Genie is a single case study, and it can seem like a stretch to apply that kind of thing to all humans everywhere. But there is other evidence, such as neurobiological studies, and other anthropological/sociological experiements, that have come to similar conclusions.

Linguistically, we are confined to a certain brief window during childhood to gain any skill.

I made it when I was 16. it's linked up to many (old, dead) sites and various other information that could seriously compromise if someone really wanted to fuck with me. There's already enough information out there for a malicious actor to fuck me over, and there's nothing I can really do. The FBI and DHS are already aware of me (not just from watchlists), the literal only thing going for me is that I am such a fuck up. God help me if I was successful and had a bank account and a family to threaten. There's not very much to take from me…but it can always get worse, which is why I'm still paranoid.

I feel like this dovetails into a broader discussion about privacy and security, which is more of a solemn prayer to the things we once had, rather than a discussion.

Well the fact that you kept the same username is one thing I will continue to respect about you.

But I totally get the inclination to change usernames.

People these days will doxx you if you so much as look at them cock-eyed.

    I mean, what's a nigga to do?

Anonymity is becoming more and more essential.

So, some zoklet history (NEVER BEFORE SEEN, EXCLUSIVE). well it might have been told before but I'm too drunk to remember if we ever revealed our evil doings. It's been several years and this was all over petty internet bullshit, so forgive a lack of details or misinformation.

During Zok's reign, people had a lot of problems with him. He wasn't exactly the best admin, and the fact that Wire had a grip around his spineless body didn't help. I forget the specifics but I was a moderator of NFHC (bltc) at the time, and was helping to coordinate leaks and battles against the mods and zok. Poast boartem and I were the masterminds but we had a dozen or two people involved, mostly coordinating on Anne's (wtf was her username?) site TRP (wtf was the actual name of the site?) on a secret forum. It was pretty fucking autistic, but there was a lot of lulz with double crossings, paranoia, leaks, drama, all that shit. it was great.

eventually I got demodded for something else entirely but I already had a few other mods in my pocket leaking shit, poast and I were going to announce our autistic goings on but I decided not to, on the off chance I could get modded again and keep up the reign of terror. then zoklet shutdown.

Holy shit, you were mod of NFHC?

I mean, I know that I recognize you from one drug-related forum or another for the most part.

Also, your post reminded me of a lot of the Zoklet drama now.

Fucking Wires was apparently a major player in whatever drama unfolded.

I don't remember much from the Zoklet days, but I do remember her having an abortion at some point was like, the most happening event at some point.

    It become a long-lasting meme.

I wish I could say I knew who you're talking about...

I do know TRP has stood for "The Red Pill" before... no idea if that's related to this particular scenario.

And "Anne" just isn't inspiring any specific memories.

I was not a very regular poster at Zoklet though, so that might be part of it.

can't imagine a forum like totse, with all those weird and illegal people coming together for great discussions. JP we will probably never see, along with some of the smarter or more subversive posters. Or the ones that were smarter and ended up working for the feds (there were a few of those on totse as well).

if I was growing up today, or if I had to give advice to a hypothetical child, I would definitely not recommend the free-wheeling internet usage that gave us all so much enjoyment. In 2006 I felt comfortable talking about my drug experiences and asking questions on a weird fringe forum not connected to my name. in 2016 everything you do online is part of your digital brand and your employers want to know all your social media. every online service is connected to everything else and a profile is built up of you.

this is terrible, I would never have been able to enjoy the many great stories I read on totse that inspired me to share my own wacky misadventures, with this constant threat of weaponized offense, deplatforming, etc.

honestly feel like its even a bad idea to post here, now, under this name, with the presumption that this is my actual person. would have been smarter to let this account die.

I think what we had was a good thing.

But now, it's not the same thing it once was.

By posting anything, it's like auto-doxxing yourself.

I've thought of just making a thread where I post my passport photos, street address, and place of business, just to get the inevitable out of the way...

Totse was great for getting together with a bunch of diverse people with similar interests (drugs, pyrotechnics, whatever), and just chatting it up in Internet forums.

Nowadays, people are paranoid as fuck.

I've noticed that a lot of people refuse to use old usernames out of paranoia.

You and I, Rizzo, either we're brave souls, or we're way behind the curve, because we've stuck with our old names for some reason.
