There is a lot of sense in that.

I mean, I went through some phases in my life, some of them incredibly cringe-worthy.

I've also done some stupid things, illegal things, and immoral things I would like to leave behind me.

But at the end of the day, I consider those actions and those phases and those words I said, no matter how cringeworthy, part of the evolution that led to who I am today.

So, I definitely get why people want to change usernames. It's totally understandable.

But I'm trying to come to terms with some of the stupid shit I have thought, said, and done in my life, and trying to integrate it and make sense of it, rather than delude myself.

NOT that I am talking in any way about you or your life history, or anyone else for that matter.

I'm just saying that, for me, even though I feel like I was a completely different person at various stages in my life, I have to accept the thread of continuity that will follow me from the cradle to the grave.
