Don't worry. I'm on it.

My plan is to have a link to this forum in all the places the Totse text file repository had links to its own BBS. -
2019-02-22 at 8:37 PM UTC in Return of the OctI nominate myself resident historian (I might even do like a Ken Burns style documentary at some point, lol).
I also nominate this to be the new orientation thread in case we get any more stragglers. -
2019-02-22 at 8:35 PM UTC in Return of the OctHere are a few more threads that might help you get your bearings around here:
Some O.G. Totseans: https://niggasin.space/thread/31755.
What’s DH (for some more of DH's history, in case you're curious - this will help you get a feel for which posters are DH and not Totse/Zoklet with new names): https://niggasin.space/thread/33710.
Some discussion about alts (alternate accounts - and also some talk about why people change usernames so much) around here: https://niggasin.space/thread/31525.
A couple threads I made where I was exploring some basic statistics about the site to get a more quantitative feel for the lay of the land:
NiS Statistics: https://niggasin.space/thread/31288.
More stats and stuff: https://niggasin.space/thread/31496. -

Originally posted by Octavian Hahaha my "cocaine days" were not solely spent on the internet. Whenever I came back home from nights out clubbing I would go on tiny bltc sometimes to see who was on. Everyone would be getting fucked up and we would talk for hours. There was a sense of community back then, maybe not in comparison to Totse but I wasn't apart of that era to know the difference. There was always a recurrent theme of nostalgia for the old Totse. I think rather than complain more should have been done to make it like it was. The same should be done for this site too. We don't want to be a bunch of hooded sith looking OG's lamenting about the good old days to the young ones. Let's make this happen.
In regards to the dearly departed there was a few suicide threads and I believe a lot were infact genuine. As much as we laughed at each others' misfortunes I do feel sad for those that did off themselves. With Malice it was no surprise, the poor guy lived alone and seldom went out.I would have had more sympathy if it were not for his predilection to fuck felines.
C'est la vie!
In all honesty, the (your) name doesn't immediately jump out at me, but that could largely be because my peak time in the Totse/Zoklet/NiS sphere was well before we even moved on to Zoklet, so I wasn't around much for the more recent years.
Either way, you seem like a quality poster. I can't speak for everyone else, but I personally like seeing folks with a sense of nostalgia and community surrounding this general ethosphere.
Welcome, and please do stick around. -
2019-02-22 at 8:15 PM UTC in Return of the OctOctavian, another quick NiS 101 tutorial: Word filters...
For example, try writing "word filters" and see what happens. -
2019-02-22 at 8:13 PM UTC in Return of the OctHeck, there was even a time when you couldn't say "dear" (even "endearment") without it converting to faggot (or "enfaggotment", respectively).
-
2019-02-22 at 8:12 PM UTC in Return of the OctAround here, faggot is practically a term of endearment.

2019-02-22 at 7:42 PM UTC in Return of the OctWith notifications coming from electronic communication devices in our pockets informing us of social media messages and other Internet updates, we are approaching a singularity of cocaine days and Internet days.
One day, we will simply call them our Cocanet days...? Intercaine days? -

We need a good hoaxer in office.
A real, old-school prankster, that'll wear hand buzzers when meeting with foreign world leaders and do televised prank press statements about fake disasters and terrorist attacks, just to keep people on their toes. -

To block new users' POSTS, not block new users from joining.
I have no special powers or authority here. -
2019-02-22 at 7:10 PM UTC in Return of the OctOh, and a quick heads up... You might suddenly be inundated in every thread with repeated posts of kroz doing an "inverted crabwalk", with genitals prominently exposed.
I don't know how big of a name infinityshock was on Zoklet, my first encounters with the character have been on here (50% OFF-TOPIC racist spam; 50% requests from dudes for dick pics)... Now it's all dicks, all the way down.
Lanny has been working on a few different angles for security, and so his new accounts are typically banned pretty quickly.

For whatever reason, though, infinityshock is not without his fans. -

Originally posted by Octavian Ahhh I see, how things change. I am intrigued how an anti social hermit's death is confirmed when he had no friends. Was his family aware of this site or something? He had files on all of us. Like he would actually build up a profile of all the users and refer back to it in arguments, that I do remember.
I wasn't around (NiS) when this happened.
Here's the thread: https://niggasin.space/thread/25430.
But yeah, that same question has crossed my mind.
I kind of just assumed that someone here managed to confirm it somehow (either they spoke to his family in some capacity, or they looked up an obituary, I really don't know).
Either way, it's a big part of contemporary Totse (NiS, at least) lore. You will see references to "getting on the bus", and threads entitled simply "Later"... These are in reference to either suicide, or just leaving the site for a few days until the withdrawals kick in. -

Originally posted by Jiggaboo_Johnson I'm not really Malice sorry, he's one of the ones that allegedly offed himself. Poor taste sure, but then this is NIS…not a forum about knitting.
I meant perhaps in poor taste relative to normal societal standards, not necessarily Totse/Zoklet/NiS regular standards. -
2019-02-22 at 6:33 PM UTC in Return of the OctAnd I guess I'll address the DH scenario right away. It seems like the jollies have been had... I got a chuckle or two.
Basically, some time in around Spring/Summer of 2018 (I believe), another Internet forum with surprisingly compatible discussion interests kinda merged in here with the Totse/Zoklet folks that were posting here.
DontTellEm and Jiggaboo_Johnson are both originally from DH. But since we've all been intermingling for nearly a year now, they know a lot about Totse/Zoklet history from us, and they know who some of the main players around are/were. Panthrax is still around (username now is Grimace... actually I haven't seen him post in a few weeks I think, but up until then he was pretty regular around here). Malice, sadly, has departed us (he boarded the big bus to the sky). Lanny is here still as Lanny, he runs the joint (as you surmised earlier). -

2019-02-22 at 6:24 PM UTC in Return of the OctHTS-Noob is now just HTS, and is a transwoman.
However, because people on the Internet will continue to be people on the Internet, many refuse to accept it (for political reasons, or sheer ignorance, or trolling, or maybe just being plain mean, whatever the case...), and so, naturally, it spurs all kinds of reactions ranging from cruelty and ridicule to reasoned debate to acceptance and all the way to the point that she and another prominent poster around here are now shacking up. -

I follow neither sports nor news.
