If you don't have an anxiety disorder benzos won't appeal to you. For those of us with anxiety it's like an overwhelming feeling of freedom. A vacation from the hell of our mind. Same with alcohol.

It will greatly help cut down your alcohol consumption. It works. Try 2-3 grams to start but you'll probably need more. Long half life so be careful redosing.

Yep… That's why they're so happy. I'd be happy too if I were able to be out of pain most the time. I also remember that they had some of the fewest laws too.

RDR2 is a great game IMO but I'm not sure I can say it's more fun than GTAV. Like spending an eternity on horseback is one of many decisions that establish the world and make you feel some kind of connection to the characters but rarely is it actually fun. It's also pretty damn depressing as AAA games go.
I'm having more fun in RDR2 than I've ever had in a GTA game. To each their own I guess. The game is so beautiful that even riding a horse around is entertaining.
