  2. I can't sleep been Tripping non stop for hours.
  3. One of the keys to making sobriety fun is "systems" for your free time; you need stuff you do every day. Pop on a podcast or music and keep doing it. Trust me, being idle and bored leads to depression and lethargy.

One good way to establish routine is to start a little container garden in your home.

You can start it on a window sill or your balcony, or anywhere. Go to the store and buy a bag of potting soil (~$5), a bag of dry beans (~$1) and a trowel (~$1), and if you're feeling fancy, a spray bottle and/or watering can.

Then just save some plastic containers. I started out with used milk jugs, I just used a box cutter to cut the top off and cut some slits in the bottle for drainage. Pop as much potting soil as you can in there (regular water will compact it later, you might wanna top up then) and pop 2-3 beans in there, just under the surface. Water them a bit every day, just so they stay moist and can sprout, and take root.

I recommend beans because the plants are hardy, sprout, root and grow fast and they're relatively fast results. It's a good first step to transition into other plants.
  4. As far as God goes, I'm almost certain there's no personal god or heaven out there. But it feels like there is some force beyond our understanding of reason or logic, which is conscious and intelligent on a higher level, and we struggle to capture it and distill it in a way that makes sense in our own context. It's like a chimp trying to understand and replicate A Pilgrimage to San Isidro. He uses the faculties available to him as best as he can,but it's not enough.
  5. I'm sold on the idea of pure consciousness at the very least. I imagine it having something to do with the ideas of the noumenal and phenomenal world, as described by Kant.

If you meditate, I think quite often you will find that you can tune out your senses in a true way. You see nothing, not even blackness. You hear nothing, not even silence. It's like shutting those switches off entirely. And I've tried this in a sensory deprivation tank three or four times, you can almost tune out everything.

And at that point, it feels like you reach this ground state of pure consciousness. Imagine a blob of mercury floating in zero G. It almost feels like that; something that reflects and is molded in shape by the impact of sensory data, but it's only meaningful because there's something else there, like a mirror in a dark room.

I initially thought it was horseshit, but it makes a lot of sense if you experience it yourself. Or it did to me.

    Actually feel human again
    cool

and no I'km not snorting it to get high, bupropion doesn't significantly inhibit the reuptake of dopamine under normal circumstances, which by normal circumstances I guess means taking it oral, snorting it definitely is more dopaminergic.

Im thinking about getting some. I have started making a joke out of every time I buy a sandwich or anything else.

I went through a phase of reading TiA a lot because I was bored and it was amusing. There was one article that got linked which was "the cost of having a vagina" or something like that and it was pretty poorly written, really just outrage bait. I mean there might be a point there, if one's sex incurs an economically significant cost that could be significant if having a fair labor market is important to you. But man, if we're going to go down that road penises are fucking expensive. The amount of resources, time, money, emotional investment, dudes spend on romantic sorties is insane and I'm part of that crowd as much as anyone else. The amount of time it takes to maintain a single human relationship is staggering, and intellectual comprehension of that fact does nothing to mitigate the disgusting, brute biological compulsion to seek out opposite sex intimacy. It's repulsive at times, you don't ask for a sex drive but it's central to your psychology anyway, you never think "is it good that I would literally risk my life to get laid?", the answer is yes and there is no reason, nothing in the contents of the intellect, just an unquestionable fact of life endowed by birth to this wretched species of primate. Bleh.

i meant i rarely enjoy social interaction for the sake of social interaction, because if you're a bit dissociated from the human condition you see that very little valuable information is transferred between two individuals face to face. i like knowledge and thrills. people in my class talk to each other about their favorite fruit or the grade they got on the test. i want to chase random people through the woods and pop pills and make existence theories. occasionally i meet an individual on a similar wavelength like most of the people here or when i hang out with roshambo, because we make music and discuss neurosci or have theories like the subways are veins and the individuals are blood cells.

why do you think most of the posters here are here? there are two traits in most of the members here- intelligence and maladjustment. high intelligence is as much of a burden or disability as low intelligence is, because both deviate from the norm of society. a stupid person is able to entertain himself with very little on the positive side, but is unable to do things normal people do.

those who can achieve more or think deeper than the general population in a sense have a mental disorder that makes it more difficult to relate to others without roleplaying normalcy. those who are well adjusted use their abilities to rise to the top of society and be happy, those who are maladjusted and unable to relate because of their intelligence end up on fringe internet forums where any topic is discussed without boundaries. it's better than being some sort of faggot who joins mensa probably.
