I've been isolating myself from everyone I know more and more gradually over the past couple years. It looks like this road leads to a dark place.
PS: I want something that looks black, and black palm is a no go (due to the wood being the husk of the tree - there is no heartwood - and me needing a couple inches of thickness). Closest thing I can find even remotely easily is Purpleheart, and it's more red than black.
I'm trying to make a truly beautiful piece of gunsmithing artistry... and if anyone has any leads, I'd appreciate it.
If anyone can find me a source on some dark hardwood (the blacker the better), I'd much appreciate it. It seems like every dark hardwood is almost impossible to source in dimensions that would be suitable for a rifle/shotgun stock.
[I'm mostly posting this because the last post was in fucking November and it's currently January.]
