And yes he probably did that lol. I actually did this once in a treatment program I was required to have a sponsor from AA. It was also in fact my boss at the time (who was in fact sober for 20+ years), but he by no means considered himself a sponsor nor had he been to a meeting in 20+ years.
Since this was all court-ordered I actually had to set up a meeting between him and my treatment counselor so she could verify I wasn't bullshitting her.
