Originally posted by gadzooks I sometimes I wish I was an admin simply to satisfy my curiosity about the IP's.
I posted unique IP stats a while ago in some thread, it's surprisingly high although of course skewed up because of (slowly) rotating addresses on consumer connections and Tor/VPNs. There are 46 accounts that have made more than 100 posts in the last month (ruling out bots, alts reg'd but not posted on significantly) which is probably a more accurate estimate of how many active distinct users there are.I totally believe in free speech; I'm like a zealot for that shit… But sometimes it can be a bit perturbing when it starts to feel like the same person behind a multitude of usernames.
I just want to know who's who to satisfy that strange feeling, not because I feel like they should be outted in any way for their opinions/views.
Lots of people create "alts" but stop posting on their former account. I think some people intentionally lock themselves out of their accounts just to safeguard their time and make a new account when they come back. Others might just want a different username, I switched up usernames a couple of times before I was Lanny long enough that that's my handle forever now.
I might be biased because I can look at IP addresses (and tor posters do stand out) but honestly I think people get too paranoid over alts. It's a small community and most of us have been here for a veritable eternity, I notice that every once in a blue moon when we get a newcomer or an old time poster returns they see someone switch accounts, or make a joke account that wasn't even trying to pretend to be a different poster, and they get the impression people are like astroturfing themselves or something when it was obvious who they are, and was meant to be so, to the regulars. -

2018-12-31 at 1:05 PM UTC in TIF by synthesizing an entire liter of GHBGather 'round NiS, as I pass on a little bit of life-learned wisdom here...
As some of you may know, if you know me well, I fuck up a lot in life.
BUT, as a result, I learn a lot.
As Nietzsche once said:"To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities—I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not—that one endures."
The more you fuck up in life, the wiser you become.
Well, apparently preparing hundreds of doses of a psychoactive chemical is a bad idea.
Whodathunkit, right?
So I ended up developing a bit of a GHB habit recently, although I was able to quit for a little while.
But because I have a tendency to avoid throwing things out that have any value whatsoever, I can't seem to rid myself of my GHB supply.
My fridge is essentially empty except for some mustard, some hot sauce, a couple other condiments, and at least half a liter of GHB.
So now, even though I don't even really like GHB, I find myself taking it every few days anyway because it seems to be paradoxically habit-forming at the same time.
I don't like it, yet, like a moth to a flame, I find myself drawn towards it.
So, lesson learned:
Either:
A) Don't batch-synthesize habit-forming drugs.
OR...
B) Don't get in the habit of keeping things that you have no real need for. Learn to let go. THROW THINGS AWAY, DAMNIT!
I just can't though.
There's something about dumping hundreds of dollars worth of drugs down the toilet that feels... wrong on some level.- mmQ,

2018-12-27 at 1:07 PM UTC in TFW DailyStormer's Syria Coverage is More Accurate than Any MSM Site
Originally posted by Technologist So what you’re telling me Aldra, is that you know people on the ground there, and they’re giving you play by play info?
There are a few I've directly interacted with, but on the whole social media's (literally the one thing that makes social media worthwhile) made it possible for anyone with the inclination to connect themselves to people on the ground, completely bypassing the traditional media enhancement. I believe Vanessa Beeley was the first relatively well-known person I talked to in any depth. And how is me saying I don’t believe in a media outlet deflecting? I’m just telling you I put no credibility in a racially biased tabloid! No deflection there, just my opinion.
I posted that it's amusing that the linked DS article is a more accurate timeline of the war in Syria than has ever been posted in the western mainstream media, based on the fact that I've been following it through western, Russian, Syrian and Iranian media since around 2014, as well as gathering evidence from locals on Twitter and Facebook.
You literally just posted that you don't like the Daily Stormer, apparently without any knowledge of what's going on in Syria and without raising any objections to the claims they made. "Stormer is racist so they can't be right about anything" - I'll bet you didn't even read it before getting offended and posting.
If you object to any specific claims made, I'd be happy to talk about that. -

Originally posted by Lanny So what's the reasonable interpretation of throwing someone out of a car on a freeway while allegedly intoxicated or dealing with drug addiction? If a drunk person drives and gets into a collision they may have had a diminished capacity to drive and couldn't have avoided it since they were drunk, but they're still responsible for putting themselves in that situation in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, I don't really disagree. I believe that people are responsible for ALL of their actions. There's honestly a pretty specific reason for my position on this which relates to my own experiences in court, but like, suffice it to say: while they might be responsible for making themselves that way, that doesn't mean people who took drugs understood that they'd end up with that frame of mind. Which fundamentally changes the nature of the offence: it's the difference between murder and manslaughter, or criminal negligence. Ya dig? It was negligent of them to take drugs in the first place, sure, but their baseline frame of mind likely differs substantially from the way they'd be thinking on drugs. That's kinda the point of drugs, even?
I dunno. Ignore me. -
