What happened to Azov Battalion, Cyclone, and the other 'neo-Nazi' anti-Russia forces. I've heard and read a lot about the situation in and around the capitol, almost nothing about the volunteer battalions. -

Geo-political OSINT twitter has the latest. Kharkiv was heavily shelled, a couple hours ago. I saw a video of a ton of missiles landing. Reports are that Russia is launching bomber, missile and self propelled artillery strikes all over Ukraine tagetting military infrastructure. I also read amphibious landings have taken place in Odessa. And there are unconfirmed reports of Mariupol being on the verge of falling to Russian forces. -

No need to learn web dev Sudo, the github link you posted certainly has a lib that renders BB code. But ISS has one implemented already. You write your memorial and format the page in BB code. If you want to add an 'expand' button just use a spoiler tag. -

Crimea was a special case. The Eastern regions have been wanting to join Russia for a while, but trying to absorb them would be very risky both politically and economically for Russia. Interestingly enough there is a LOT of domestic public and political support (largely due to the way they're being treated by the Ukrainian authorities), but it's Putin himself that's been refusing to act on it because he doesn't want to have to eat the cost of rehabilitating their infrastructure as well as the political fallout.
Russisan intervention will likely become inevitable if the next 'ATO' is successful though - that's what this thread is about, a massive new operation appears to be ramping up. If the UAF mounts enough of an offensive to break LDNR's lines, Putin will be forced to act by the Russian people. Many of the 'volunteer battalions' openly support the UPA and NSDAP and even the mainstream political apparatus talks about 'purging' and 'obliterating' Russian-speaking populations.
If/when this happens I expect it to be limited to standoff strikes to blunt the UAF offensive but it gets extremely unpredictable from there, depending on who gets involved and how.
Jesus, i knew the volunteer battalions had a lot of NSDAP inspired ideology, but i wasn't aware mainstream political machinery was brewing up what amounts to a precursor for actual genocide. Also, starting a mass offensive with Russia sitting on the border seems to me a course of action devoid of strategic value(Besides provoking Russia) and downright delusional.
