In those times, NatSoc ideals were very popular among the 'elites' of a lot of countries. One of the reasons being that they had a general interest in the principles of eugenics. Something practiced, researched and applied from early days in Nazi Germany through various programs most significantly under the auspices of the Aktion T4 initiative. -

I recently noticed a push in some of the MSM out of Europe, to start calling places in Ukraine by their Ukrainian language names. I suppose to more clearly make the distinction between the two sides. -

2022-02-28 at 2:45 PM UTC in LDNR Militias are MobilisingI'm glad we had the energy discussion even though it's a bit peripheral to the overall conflict. I think it's an important and interesting conversation to have.

2022-02-28 at 2:36 PM UTC in LDNR Militias are MobilisingThing about modern turbines is that they are upwards of 90% efficient.

Sounds like it has affinity for Kappa and Delta Opioid receptors besides just Mu. Kappa especially is notorious for mild deliriant and dissociative effects.

I saw a post on 4chan the other day where someone pointed out that virtually all power generation methods are some variant of BOIL WATER SPIN WHEEL and now it makes me angry to think about
I should look into geo-thermal some more tbh. And yeah, turbines go brrrrrr. -

its a win-win-win scenario.
Sure, i could definitely see something like that. But that still doesn't solve the problem of the sheer amount of volume the US will have to produce to 100% get rid of Germany's dependence on Russian energy, should Germany decide to not use Nuclear as at the very least a stop-gap like Aldra mentioned. -
2022-02-28 at 2:04 PM UTC in LDNR Militias are MobilisingAlso as a side note, i am personally a massive proponent of Nuclear Energy. The more the better, especially here in my neck of the woods. We have great safety standards and a great safety record. I'd prefer it if all funds that are going into 'green' would be redirected towards the development of fluorescent green. AKA Nuclear Power.

Correct me if i am wrong because i am not too versed on geo-thermal, but doesn't that require conditions they have in say Iceland, where you basically have a lot of volcanic activity? -

Yee, every 'green' technology is massively inferior to Nuclear. That's just the simple fact of the matter. -

Originally posted by Sudo Nord stream 2 is designed to make Germany the transit hub for EU oil shipments before distributing among neighbors. Germany would be dumb to fuck that up while the getting is good.
Perhaps when it becomes apparent to Germany they'll face a massive energy crisis they'll reconsider their Nuclear energy policy. I'm not holding my breath, but there are clearly signals coming from Germany they don't want to be dependent on Russian energy anymore. Whether it's already too late for that is hard to say.
To be honest, and this is from an EU as well as national perspective with regards to my own fatherland if these developments should occur(Expansion of nuclear) that would be a net positive for the EU and Germany and The Netherlands. Also with regards to neighbors. The Netherlands is pretty good at energy policy, not only is our energy market diverse locally, with fracking operations and deep sea drilling plus imports from all places where Dutch Royal Shell operates. We have pretty advanced sustainable technologies and markets, moreso than Germany, a plurality of alternatives which are supplemented by our two Nuclear Power Stations. -
2022-02-28 at 1:30 PM UTC in LDNR Militias are MobilisingAlso i don't think it's an understatement to say that EU policy is by in large dictated by Germany. Especially now after Brexit.

Originally posted by aldra how could they? the EU at large, and especially Germany is committing a very green kind of seppuku
fuel needs will grow with the ridiculous 'sustainability' plans (solar/wind will not hit the exaggerated targets they've set and they refuse to consider nuclear) and the US has neither the ability to compete on cost or volume
I am aware of that fact, and i am certainly aware that the US can't compete on volume, but it might not be out of the realm of possibility for the US to operate energy shipments at a loss for a good while. It's unsustainable as long as Germany is committed to green seppuku but in the short run it may have been enough incentive to push Germany over the edge in terms of getting them to at the very least start meeting their NATO obligations.
Again, speculation on my part, but it seems reasonably plausible to me. -

Originally posted by Sudo Russia doubled their interest rate too, similar to what they did in 2014 and their interest rate was I believe 12% at its highest. Russia still has many venefits of its financial systems. The UK has a ton of Russian money in it they're still nit targeting with their sanctions and the EU made sure everyone knew they were taking some of Russia out of swift to give them ample time to move money around.
Pretty clear to see how much russia is relied on. Nothing targeting gazprom either that would be dusasterous
It wouldn't surprise me if the US as an incentive promised to help Germany with energy independence from Russia in order for Germany to push their recent defense reforms through. But that is as it stands speculation on my part.
