It was a few people. Totse2 was started by Mikehunt1 and Idiosyncrasy. Idiosyncrasy owned the domains and such. Then easy-a joined the admin team. Then Mikehunt1 had some trouble and dropped out. Then Idiosyncrasy got busy and transferred ownership to easy-e. Then Ghost Prototype joined the admin team near the end. Then there were server / host issues that went unresolved and totse2 ceased to be. Then the backup site was used as a gathering point. Then Arnox started intosanctuary. Then Zoklet went down, Idiosyncrasy plugged intosanctuary, and people went over there. Then Idiosyncrasy became co-admin at intosanctuary. Then Arnox and Idiosyncrasy saw some things differently and Idiosyncrasy started rdfrn. Then things happened at intosanctuary and it went down. Then things happened at rdfrn and it went down. There were a few more offshoots like totseans, avoyel, and crazymike’s site, but those didn’t work out. Then niggasinspace was thrown together right as rdfrn went down. Now we’re here, thrown together. -

Ok, Obbe. Memories are recalled, stories are told. That’s the basic premise. To expand, memories can be reflected on or told as stories. Stories can be told based on recollected memories or they can be made up. They are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but they are different concepts.
The point of my post was that you knocked me for recalling a memory and telling a story. I made a joke that you only knock it because you have no memory, saying that you’re old. Separately, I implied that you make up stories.

2017-12-22 at 11:08 PM UTC in I'm pregnant againI couldn’t decide on a specific thing to quote, so I’ll just leave a couple thoughts here.
hydro, you’re being pathetic. Coming here and bragging about how much money you make trying to justify your line of work. Not only that, but you’re using that to say how much better you are than everyone.
Fox Paws mentioned that he thinks doctors and lawyers make between. $100k - $150k. I would think that’s on the low end. I make more than that and I’m not even a doctor or lawyer. The difference is I don’t come here and try to rub it in everyone’s face like you are, which is fitting since you’re used to rubbing things in people’s faces by now. I haven’t reached the peak of my earning potential either. For you, every day is your peak. Every day you are older, dirtier, nastier, and looser than the day before. Eventually you will dry up, and then what? I bet you haven’t been investing for your future, so are just going to find a sugar daddy to cling to? -

2017-11-26 at 3:52 PM UTC in New vs Used MotorcyclesWatch Craigslist and wait for a deal. My last bike I got around 6 years ago was off CL. The guy was asking for $4,500. KBB was in the $5,500-$6,000 range, so I jedied him down to $4,000. He laid the bike down on some gravel and it spooked him, which is why he would selling it for a deal. He replaced all the damaged parts, which were cosmetic anyway. All in all, I’ve been happy with the bike and I could sell it right now and get at least what I paid for it.

Originally posted by Kolokol-1 Could you elaborate on this?
What happened? Did he mention work in his note, if he left one?
Did you feel guilty or personally responsible (even though you clearly weren't), and if so how long did it take to move on/feel better?
Were you close to the coworker?
Did it affect you significantly? If so, would you say it made you more angry or depressed?
What about your other coworkers? How did they react to it?
Just out of curiosity

Sure, I can elaborate.
I don't know if he left a note. I didn't hear of one if he did.
It was interesting because literally the days before it happened, we had talked and my observation was that he intended on living. His boss got a call over the weekend from someone saying that this guy drove out somewhere pretty far away (can't remember where) by himself and killed himself. I don't remember all the specifics and how he was found, but I believe he shot himself.
I didn't feel guilty or personally responsible for his suicide. The best descriptor would probably be puzzled.
I wasn't close to the guy on a personal level, but I did work closely with him. As far as how it affected me, I did feel a small bit of guilt, even though I said I didn't feel guilty for his suicide. So this guy was genuinely nice, but I always got this "off" feeling about him. I remember gossiping about some of his odd quirks with co-workers, which is what made me feel guilty and probably makes me a bad person. The things that seemed off to me were his eyes and his smile.
When he would talk to someone, including myself, he smiled a lot. Even if there wasn't anything to be smiling about. And it was one of those big full-face smiles. His eyes were also in an expression of surprise when we talked. They would be opened really wide, he would lock his eye contact with yours, and he wouldn't blink. I'm not convinced those were "signs" of anything, but I remember feeling guilty for the gossip.
Some of my co-workers who had gotten close to him took it hard. One thing they did to remember him is wear a tie on Tuesday for a year. That was another of his quirks. We have a business casual environment and nobody wears a tie unless they are going to a funeral, interviewing for a job, or coming in from the outside for something like a consultant. This guy would wear a tie every Tuesday for no reason other than he wanted to. He had some name for it like Tie Tuesday. So that's what they did to remember him. -
2017-09-17 at 3:07 AM UTC in Just Found Out That A Co-Worker Killed HimselfI experienced that once. It causes you to replay all of your interactions and see if you missed something. I can still see his face and it's been several years.
