I would say we should bump this thread every day to remind Bill Krozby of the time he created a troll thread titled “my daughter just died,” but his goofy ass is too far gone to ever realize how fucked up that is.

You clearly don’t know or don’t remember what was done with the PI of people on past sites. Some people form personal vendettas against people and use their PI against them. Others just want to watch the world burn.

If I were particularly desperate, like going through heroin withdrawals back in the day, then probably, yeah.
When I'm thinking straight, which is, believe it or not, most of the time, then probably not.
And actually, there are two main reasons for why I would (typically) lean towards "no":
1. Ethical reasons: The first thing that popped into my head was the movie Se7en…
2. Practical reasons: This could just be a ruse all about getting me personally killed, or it could be some ultra-dangerous mission where you just straight up stand no chance of surviving and staying out of jail or any other kind of trouble that would make $10,000 not even remotely worth it.
I’m glad you value your life at more than $10,000. Is there a dollar amount at which point the potential benefit becomes greater than the inherent risks

To pick up a box and drop it off somewhere 100 miles away, would you do it? The box is sealed, you are not allowed to open it or it won’t be accepted and you won’t get paid, you don’t know anything about the drop location, and you know very little about who is offering you the job and who is paying you (who may or may not be the same person). All you know is you are picking up an unmarked box from an obscure point A and dropping it off at an obscure point B. Do a good job, and you could get more jobs offered to you.

Does it include control over humans?
Or do people have free will?
Like, with infinite money, I can hire as many people to do my bidding as I want.
But if they still have free will, they can refuse acts they deem unreasonable or unethical.
Then again, I could just replace them all with conscious robots.
Having unlimited resources doesn’t grant you the ability to alter or remove free will. We still have to exist and operate within the physical and metaphysical properties of our universe as we know them.

Bill Krozby, I’m truly sorry. Even if you weren’t all that involved in her life, that is rough. No parent should ever have to bury their child. Words won’t help right now, but I feel for you and I’m sorry.

Business analyst? I think that's what they're still called.
With things like User Stories and Experience Mapping, business analysts are becoming less and less needed.
There are frameworks like Gherkin that are basically user stories + unit tests that are actually functioning code. Or, at the very least, they make the translation between business use case and unit testable code a LOT smoother.
User stories, that’s what I was trying to think of. We are going through a massive multi-year multi-campus overhaul of our core systems and processes and there are so many user stories. I’m on the end-user side of things actually doing the day-to-day business stuff, but I’m considered a “subject matter expert” plus a bunch of other jargon for what it’s worth, so I can appreciate the nature and the need for translation. The consultants who are writing the bulk of the code have no idea how we run our business, nor do I have any idea how they write their code. I have a couple main points of contacts who I go to and they translate my needs and defect reports and what not to the people who can resolve it in a way they can understand it.

Learn to lie well. Make sure to have a story for every job that explains how good of an employee you are and how you planned your departure from the employer. Never admit to being fired. Give stories of your professionalism based on what you've seen from other coworkers. Make sure to add in achievements like Emplpyee Of The Month and various safety awards.
Look them in the eye during all of this and believe and live what you're telling them.
This, minus the lying. Have a handful of stories ready that you can apply to a variety of questions.
Focus on accomplishments and results more so than what your previous jobs were. You can mention a summary of what you did, but focus more on what you got done and how you did it.
Look up the STAR method for behavioral interviewing. STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result. Thinking like that will help you out.

Well there are two major schools of thought on the subject:
1. "It's impossible to just 'pull yourself up from your bootstraps'." People who are born poor will always remain poor, due to capitalism or something like that.
2. Your lot in life is malleable and can be influenced by the decisions you make, and the things you truly commit yourself to.
Personally, I lean more to the second way of thinking.
I'm a self-taught computer programmer, using freely-available YouTube videos, a few books here and there, and a whole lot of dedication to hobby projects to gain experience.
If your career is not up to your ambitions/standards, you can always resolve to change that and put in some hard work and a little ingenuity.
You will also have to take risks.
But it is, at least in my opinion, possible to transcend from rags to "riches".
Seconded.

Is there any downside to online banks?
The downside is not having a bank you can go to. Not a huge deal because you make transfers to other banks and institutions when needed, but it can make it more difficult to deposit cash and anything else you’d want to do in person.
Also, online banks are good for savings accounts, but not always checking accounts. Some don’t even offer checking accounts, and it could be harder to get a debit card, but I assume that’s not a deal breaker because money market accounts are the same.
A good option could be to do your checking at a local bank or credit union and savings at an online bank.

What’s the problem again? The platform is not the problem, it’s the drivel spewing from your fingertips. Be the change you want to see. Even with “text files,” actions speak louder than words.
Also, pro tip, PDFs are better than .txt. They preserve formatting and, believe it or not, can contain text.
