I guess what I’m getting at is why would Jeff or any of the offshoots bother to continue owning the domain after they are done running the sites, especially this many years after the fact? As long as you change your email address from being associated with any website to avoid what -SpectraL mentioned, then what does it matter if someone else took it?

100 million to 250 million is an incredibly imprecise range. That kind of margin of error makes me wonder why they bothered carrying out the decimal place on only the unverifiable figures.

A little insight to banks here, although it doesn’t directly relate to the problems presented.
If you don’t have a lot of money in your account and you historically don’t carry a large balance and you try to deposit a check that is larger than your current balance, a bank can put a hold on it for like 5 business days to make sure it clears. This is so they can make sure you don’t withdraw against the check and then the check doesn’t clear so the bank is out that money. This is especially true if it is an out of state check or one that doesn’t look like a legit operation, like a personal check.
Also, checks go stale dated after 6 months. If you don’t deposit or cash your check within 180 days of the date it is written, banks don’t have to honor it.

Enter, the problem is that you over think things. I used to too. The problem with over thinking is you can drive yourself crazy and it makes you appear to be stiff af.
Take interviewing, for example. I used to try to go over all potential questions and have scripted answers at-the-ready. I don’t know how that made my face look, but probably, robotic, expressionless, and stiff. It would also give me anxiety and would cause unnecessary stress. On the flip side, when I would go in almost with a not-caring mindset, that’s when I would get the job. Of course you still care, but don’t worry so much about having all the right answers ready for every situation. Just know yourself and have some insight into the important parts about yourself that can be adapted to several questions and situations.
So back to your question. If a girl ever cancels, there can be so many variables that you aren’t thinking of now and can’t possibly think of ahead of time. For example, she might need to cancel because her mom died. You wouldn’t tell her to fuck off and you wouldn’t ignore her, so you just caused a lot of stress thinking of a scenario that didn’t even happen. Don’t worry about it now. Just free your mind up so you can be flexible and respond in the moment in a way that seems right for the moment.
