tbf i think the internet was fundamentally a different beast back when we were all on totse, and that it honestly wasn't that fucked up. sure totse was a wretched hive of scum and villainy, but like... it was moderated semi-strictly. i don't think it's weird full stop to interact with minors in a group setting like a forum, and that was pretty much the extent of the internet once upon a time.
but like... these days... grooming your 14 year old discord kittens and stalking them on facebook is an everyday activity for some of these mfs, apparently. -
