Instead of asking whether an immoral hero can be loved, demonstrate how they are using the many examples you listed and ask "why" audiences are captivated by the figure and then identify a common thread that provides some insight into where the archetype might come from.

Generally I'm not sure why people think 2-4 years of undergrad + 4 years of professional schooling is worth ~$100k/year, but I suppose that would depend on where you go to school. Community colleges and in-state public professional education programs are strong here in Illinois, but the pharmacy schools lowered their standards somewhat to accept more applicants and produce more pharmacists. The result was a market oversaturated with B and C grade pharmacists, and most of them haven't figured out what to do yet because so many meet their spouse in pharmacy school only to be stuck here when just one of them gets an internship/pharmacist position, waiting for their loans to come out of deferment - might as well have a kid, while they're unemployed. The hole only gets deeper from here.

Hilary will win and she represents the status quo. Things will remain largely unchanged for the next 4 years, military spending will remain high, our wellfare system will remain patchwork but slowly expand, the economy will continue to experience low-moderate growth and everyone will hate it but largely be in the best position they could expect to be given the circumstances.

Even if Trump did win (he won't) he'd still be impotent to do any of the bullshit he's build his campaign on. We all know he won't get Mexico to pay for shit and congress won't touch that shit sack with a 10 foot poll, he will have power of foreign policy but the world already has about as low an opinion of us as it can given our economic/military position so there's not much he'd be able to do. I guess he could start us up a new war but who really gives a shit anyway?
Largely I'd agree with you, although most POTUS' since WWII have gotten us into a war; Bush/Cheney really furthered executive power in this regard, and although Obama campaigned successfully against this attitude he seems to have enjoyed it well enough since he got in. Of course they like getting stuff done, but it seem as though something always comes up that's absolutely justifiably an excuse to militarize a region, putting hundreds of thousands out of their home and killing many in the process. Foreign policy is where we need to worry, and Hillary didn't have to wait for the office to demonstrate the very presidential quality of rushing soldiers into combat without prior authorization of Congress. -

He failed out because he lacked an appreciation for baroque and then he moved to Tennessee, where he became a sales associate for Guitar Center. He thought that'd be a notch on his resume, and he took an internship through the local community college as an audio engineer. Instead of earning $40,000 a year mixing tracks for musicians he works for free, setting the stage at dive bars and being creative on Twitter.
The Black Keys were never special. They enjoyed a few years of fame and they were lucky to have it. -

My girlfriend does therapy for kids on the spectrum, and one of the kids she sees for in-home sessions has an older brother with ODD. Mostly he just breaks expensive things and yells "fuck" at his parents while she's there. I think you're somewhere between that and Ted Bundy, and probably closer to the former. -

When I returned to the drop-off point two days later, I was greeted by reporters from a local station who asked me how I felt knowing that the driver who got me there was drunk off his ass the whole ride, and actually crashed the bus on the way back. I had no idea about any of this, so the first thing out of my mouth (with the camera in my face) was, "Huh?" Then they gave me a bit more info and extracted some generic statement about how irresponsible that was (pretty much what any local news station expects of a confused student), I'd never use their service again, etc. Surprised I didn't get a ticket refund. Anyway, a friend tracked down the video in the station's archive a few months later and forwarded it to me: they edited out the conversation so that viewers saw me saying, "Huh?" cluelessly, then cut to a wide-lens of the carnage before getting back in time to watch me turn around and get on the bus.
OP, think of how you can make people look when you have the ability to edit in a production studio. Mine is just a mild and harmless example of why student polls are not to be trusted, and it's a waste of your time as a voter watching them. -

Mostly I just want him to stop touting his bigoted, social conservative agenda as though it's based in fact when I know that he's the victim of contrived, political lies and ignorance repeated with fervor. Whenever I log into Facebook I see about a dozen posts in which he either supports a divisive candidate who promotes actions of violence against Islam, or he directly attack the faith itself. It's embarrassing for me and I worry about his professional life, as he works in a technological field with a small community that employs a number of Arabic-Americans. He's a wonderful man who would never want to make someone else feel excluded on the basis of skin or faith, but he's being made a fool for these social conservative monsters in the spotlight. If you have information that will help me with this and I don't have it listed yet, please reply. -
