    Take Bill Krozby, for example. Do you really think he was nurtured and equipped with the means to become a better person? As though he could simply be a decent human being, by virtue of his intellect? The answer is no, he's fundamentally lacking because of the way he grew up and was taught to live.

    With all due respect, CF, you and I may have been afforded the capacity to neatly divide our lives into a series of risk-benefit equations because of some degree of privilege (please correct me if I'm mistaken). Brushes with the law can be as unavoidable as mental illness, in many cases. Do you really believe that those born into less fortunate circumstances can simply choose a different lifestyle and rise above it?

    CF I must say that, as a non-lawbreaker, you are unique on this site. But it's not as simple as 'don't get caught'. Would you apply this reasoning to people who get speeding tickets as well?
